gmoney422
I was not very impressed with Great Adventure’s Opening Day. Here’s why: -Thought there would be more fanfare, street performers and stuff -ET was only running 1 train, and load times were a joke! -Despite Mark Kane’s assurance that it would, KK DID NOT run 4 trains on Opening Day (couldn’t even manage running 2) -Chiller was closed (oh well, not a big surprise, but still a disappointment) -Sky Ride was closed until 5pm when it started running. I don’t know if they were just testing, but I saw ppl on it (could have been employees, though) -Pizza at Papa Johns by the lake was crap! The cheese wasn’t even melted! For $12, I think the cheese should be melted! -Still no single rider lines. I know, I’m beating a dead horse, but someone needs to listen! -Rolling Thunder’s train got stuck on the lift hill…*sigh* -The parking tolls were all FUBAR-ed! They didn't have a parking pass holders lane or anything. Very unprepared for Opening Day. The lady at my toll even admitted it! There were some good things, though: -Nitro’s still as good as ever! Pound for pound, that’s the best ride in the park period. -There were many characters milling around the entire park, as you’ll see in the pics. -The line for Season Pass processing moved very quickly. -Security presence was high. -No wait to buy a FlashPass Sorry if I seem a bit critical, but I, like a lot of others, have been waiting months for this park to open, and I think they should've done better for us! If Six Flags wants to be thought of on the level of Disney parks, then start showing it. Now, on to the pics… And finally...OMG! 5pm and the Sky Ride’s running. Just in time for…no one! (Park closed at 7pm…) Nobody was impressed by the parade. However, the smog cloud from the truck at the end gave me a nice lightheadedness… Here’s the mob scene at the Season Pass processing center. The line actually moved very fast. Good job, SF! While in line for ET, noticed RT had the green train stuck on the lift. *Sigh* I said hello to The Flash, but he wasn’t too friendly. I think SF made him hang out by the new FP building all day. I wanted to take one of those BFF pics of him and I with me holding the camera at arm’s length, but I didn’t think he would be down. So I think it’s twice as big as the old building. And LOOK, no line! Here’s the new FlashPass building near the Dolphin show…and The Flash himself! Porky knows where it’s at! I liked his suave jacket, but Bro, put some pants on! Nobody wants to see the pork tenderloin my man! I’d let him borrow my pants, but I’ll need to iron them first. Ahhh…empty park goodness…! WOW! SHOCKER! Sky ride is not running. This was at about noon-ish. I know, I know, what’s Gmoney doing taking a pic in the men’s room. I just had to take a pic of these urinal dividers. They were so snug I had to walk up to the urinal sideways, then pivot to get in to whiz. Anyone broader-shouldered than me it really These new signs were all over the queues. I think they look nice, but the one on ET was not even close to accurate! This one is from Nitro’s queue right before you go under that little tunnel. Ahh, all the HEROS are present! Here’s Dave Chappelle as the Green Lantern and Mrs. Robb Alvey as Wonder Woman giving props to Gmoney’s TPR hoodie. (just kidding Elissa, I know your legs aren’t that large…) WW’s been power-liftin’ or somethin’…! …while these shmoze danced in the background. Cpt. Feathersword didn’t even know the words to his own song!!! The kids were heart-broken…! They brought these lil’ kids up to sing their fav Wiggles songs… ... Some shots of WW. Pretty much the same as the old Bugs Bunny area, but with Wiggles theming. A lot of peeps wanted to hear what MK had to say. Oh BTW, there’s Mark Kane, President of the United States of Great Adventure opening up WW to all Wiggle freaks. And there’s Coaster Steve filming in the satin jacket with green hoodie! Flying Turns rules!!! On our way to Nitro, spotted one entrance to Wiggles World near Skull Mtn. And Hey Look, there’s the 106.7 Lite FM Kiosk! I got a cool 106.7 chip clip and T-shirt (size Small *sigh*)… …we remembered they usually don’t open right away and headed towards Nitro and B:TR first. First, we went to the left after the fountain to wait for KK and ET, but then…

gmoney422
I would think Good Friday would not be "good" for crowds. Expect to wait in line. Thanks for the kind words! G "I'm going back next Monday" Money
