Eric_Smith Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 Hi Everyone!!!! So I am out here in Cali for spring break and I went to SFDK and am going tomorrow. I have a little 5 dollar kodac camera so pics will be up maybe by Friday(The com i am using does not have a CD drive). On to the day. We got to the park around 11 and it was not to packed. The first ride I went on was Medusa(First B&M credit as well as First Inversion credit ). Medusa was a walk on all day, But someone on the lift decided to undo there seat belt so the line got a little long( not out of the station though). Then It was on to the animals. My littlte sis went to "The Shark Experince" and loved it. I saw the sting rays and loved it myself. Then we had lunch. Not to much to tell there. After that I went back to Medusa to find it "broken down"(I say that because it was only about 15 min). Rode that a few more times and decided to go over to Roar. They were only running one train so that line was about 35-40 min.(That is the longest I waited). Then I walked over to Boomarang to find it also broken down. It was later fixed and ran till I left. After that I went to Kong and about broke my neck. The lift hill was fun but the rest was pure HELL.(I will not be going on that tommorow). After that I went on Medusa a few more times. For those wondering Medusa was running two trains. Then we saw V2 move out of the station, but not running. It is most likely to open tommorow. That is all for now. I will update you more tommorow.
Eric_Smith Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 Hello on day 2, I got to the park around 11 am and it was pretty empty. I would say that it was about 1/3 less people there today. Sadly V2 did NOT open today. I am kind of mad because they said it would open 2:30 YESTERDAY, but I am glad that they are checking and double checking for safety. After that I went to Medusa and rode it 3 times without getting off. After that I high tailed it over to Roar figuring the line would be long, but it was a walk on. I rode that a few times also. After that I went to Jocko's Walrus Experince and saw walrus'!(no kidding). There was a drinking fountian for the walrus' and one let it dribble onto his belly and got "excited" and it was oh so obvious.(Sorry Jahan I did not get a pic of DA COCK. . After that it was onto The Shark Experince. That was also pretty cool. We saw a shark like fish that had a chain-saw looking nose. Then we had lunch. I went and saw the sting-rays and dolphins and my parents and little sis went to the looney toons area. I then went to Roar again and it had a 20 min wait at this point. The on-ride pic caught me sneezing and it looked funny! After that I rode Medusa one more time and the day was over. Like I said pics should be up by the weekend. Cheers,Eric
Eric_Smith Posted April 5, 2007 Author Posted April 5, 2007 This is part one of my PHOTO TR. The roller coaster pics will come later. I leave you with what I think is the coolest thing ever. One last shot of Alcatraz. One of the cells that an inmate escaped from. The rec yard. The last meal ever served. This is were 3 inmates escaped to.They were not to be found. Main control room. Are we sure this is "ALL" from 1963? The gun gallery. The shower room. The main cell-house of Alcatraz. This seems out of place. The roller coaster skyline. The chain-saw shark. OMG!!!!! This was really funny. Some Humps....... This tiger was pacing for about 15 minutes because there was another tiger that was eating in his spot. Look, Robb and Elissa. The "Excited" walrus. My first B&M.
Real Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 DUDE Alcatraz...I completely need to get there. Id bet they do some ghost hunts/activity things there sometimes? Ive been to the Ohio Reformatory and its SWEET. And that mailbox does rock. Hard.
stormrider Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 So SFDK still has those short lines? I guess that's good for me, but I was hoping more people would come. BTW, that first picture of yours (Medusa) really should be submitted to RCDB because it's so clear and is an angle that is rarely photographed of the ride. It's your property, though. When I went to Marine World, I never saw the shark exhibit, so I'll have to check it out some day. And I like that mailbox
Eric_Smith Posted April 5, 2007 Author Posted April 5, 2007 Thanks for the comments guys. BTW, that first picture of yours (Medusa) really should be submitted to RCDB because it's so clear and is an angle that is rarely photographed of the ride. Thanks. I cant take the credit for that shot because I am in the last row you can see, 2nd in.
chmilo24 Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Is the mailbox just in some random place or is it next to some landmark because I'm going to to the Bay tomorrow I think that would be funny if I showed my family that.
Eric_Smith Posted April 5, 2007 Author Posted April 5, 2007 Some were between Pier 29 1/2 and Pier 39.
Eric_Smith Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 Tommorow I will be posting the pics that I took. The pics I posted were ones my Dad took.
