deano
As our summer is coming to an end here in Oz, i thought i'd better take the 10 minute drive to my local theme park and take a few photo's before Adventure World closes for another season. Adventure World is the only park in Western Australia, in fact, it's the only park for about 2000+ miles in any direction. It has two coasters and a couple of flat rides, but its mainly known as the best place to cool off in summer with it's waterslides. I've been coming here for about 20 years now and although the park is lacking any big coasters, i still enjoy a few visits each season. I'll finish off with this picture of the bumper boats and Bounty's Revenge. Thanks for checking out my Adventure World TR. All of the old go-cart and paddle boat bodies, how sad. Whistlestop Express has seen better days. My dad took me to the rear of the park to show me the dump, otherwise known as the 'grave yard for all of the old rides'. ...and saw these guys getting their Dominoes Pizza delivered to the park entrance, respect. We then jumped into the golf buggy for a drive around the park. Please dont throw up on me. We went into the fenced off area of Rampage while the ride was operating for some close up action. I'ts all smiles here, but when the ride started, i have to say that having all that weight screaming down on top of you so close, was damn scary. mmmmmmm, control room. The Rampage, it was here that i met up with my dad, who works maintenence at Adventure World. He took me on a little 'behind the scenes' tour of the park. Next up, the Power Surge, one of Zamperla's contribution's to the park. This coaster isnt too bad, it's just a shame that this is all we have. "yo yo yo, wasssup"? Hello Turbo Mountain. The 'Rampage', more of this ride a bit later.... Some good views of the waterslides. Now we're on the worlds slowest chairlift. The kiddie area is pretty good, theres plenty to keep them occupied. Getting back to the park, what do we have here? Yep, it's a credit, just not a very good one. "I'd like to peck out your eyes now please". Will someone please get these guys a beer? Emu's, ducks and Kangaroo's, a deadly combination... .....so, when i'm being lazy, i'm really just conserving energy and maintaining my hydration levels? So, what do Koala's do exactly? well, nothing really, just like the next featured lazy Aussie icon...the Kangaroo. "Hi Elissa, take me home please, all i need to live is a Gum tree, a nintendo wii and the occasional cuddle". The Koala's, look at them go..... Adventure World also has a wildlife section, are you ready to witness the energetic and busy lives of Australian wildlife? Life through the eyes of a big scary rock. "Hello, i'm Skull Rock, i like to eat little children, Koala's and Cinnabonns" These are fun, but the uphill walk in a pain in the a$$. The speed and racing waterslides. The pool and some water slides. The go-cart track with the bungee tower in the background. Bounty's Revenge. Beware of pirates in purple ships. The paddle boat lake, ooooh pretty. The park entrance. sio
Thank you for the trip. The park seems to be little and the aquatic part pretty good. It's always fun to have trips reports of distant parks.

Thats what I love about living on The Gold Coast is our parks are open 364 days a year, only problem is because I work at them I kind of dont visit them anymore. Deano love your photo trip report as I never really seen much of Adventure World and very cool photos of the ride grave yard good stuff.
the sound
^ Lousy Gold Coast. I never new Adventure World actually had Rampage. I thought only Dreamworld had one, and probably some park in Japan. Well there you go, you learn something everyday.

Dailey Enterprizes
Awww It looks like a nice park. Atleast it's more spread out than the other parks in Australia.
deano
^I actually remember riding on that train many years ago. Your right, it is well spread out, theres a lot of space for new rides though. The latest news is that the coaster will be demolished in a year or so and that there's a water coaster going in. I hope this is true, but i'll believe it when i see it.
