have added a new inverted coaster called Stealth. When I first started this park, I was going to build one over by where the Hurricane is now, but the location wasn't right. In addition to Stealth, a brand new night club has been built called The Eclipse. The building features only the stage being surounded by glass and an outside viewing deck with jumping fountains to add some effect.

ALSO JUST IN!

A new miniature thrill park has been opened ajasent to Stealth called Thrill Zone! This area features rides that have a seperate admission price ranging from $3.50 to $5.00 and there are 7 rides, A RipCord ride, Swinging Inverter Ship called Inverter, A Spin Doctor ride called Skyscraper, Power Surge which is an Inverted Impulse Coaster, and Top Star.

I'm not at my home computer right now, but I'll get them up soon. Some other ideas I want to do is add a western area and some more water rides. A boat ferry isn't a bad idea too.

I am having a big graphics problem with the park and I'm even starting to doubt the chance of having this park finished. But there is a chance! I am going to PM the park to someone who wants to finish the park so who will it be? If you want it, you would need to follow there guidelines:

1. The full name would have to remain the same.

2. You would need to post updates on this topic about the progress.

3.You will have to be creative!

4. There are different custom scenery tabs used in this project which are

-Vodhin's Lighting Kit v2

-Iceatcs Billboard

-Pumper's steelworx

I am planning on building another Pearl Island park down the road and turning it into a Six Flags style company, but first I'm thinking of doing a re-creation of Hersheypark (if it's possible). There's also another forum on another website about this project and I'm thinking of doing the same thing over there, so there might be two versions of the same park.

If you want the park, just post a reply here.

Sorry for the dissapointment.

A new owner has been found! The new manager of the park is now thrillrideseeker! With the change of ownership, the park will exel into a bright future with new rides, new attractions and new entertainment! Good luck with the park!

Popular Vacation Destination Mysteriously Vanishes!

Friday, August 19, 2002

During hurricane Geoffrey this past week, Pearl Island, one of the newest and most popular vacation destinations on the east coast, vanished into the sea on Wednesday.

All of the 50 rides, attractions, hotels, and waterslides disappeared underneath the sea never to be seen again. A few of the employees on the island said that it was total chaos. "I remember first seeing the windows being blown out of the (Pearl Island) Hotel", one employee said. "Luckly me and a couple of other workers were working in the lighthouse, which was the only thing that didn't fully sink." USGS officials say that because of the materials in the ground and the sorm surge, the island just sunk.

The owner was not open for an interview, but he did reply saying that he is going to rebuild and make the park better than it was before.

The lighthouse. All that's left.

Pearl Island Park Survives Storm Better Than Most People Thought

Friday August 26, 2002

Hurricane Geoffrey last week spared a direct and disasterous hit on Pearl Island last week despite the terrible details last week from an article last week which stretched out the truth.

Officals were offically allowed to gain access to the island on Thursday by boat to servey the damage and what they found suprised them. The Pearl Island Hotel, Stealth inverted coaster, Cyclone Racer wooden coaster, waterpark, Thrill Zone construction area (which was slated to open for 2003) and Axis multi-dimension coaster all totally dissapeared. These rides wern't the only ones that escaped total distruction; sections of Maximium Thrill launched coaster were washed away or collapsed, Surge's lift hill collapsed along with it's station, Hurricane's station fell in on itself, but the rest of the coaster still stands.

"Most of the front of the park escaped most of the damage," said the park's owner. "I plan on handing the island over to a friend of mine in the amusement industry. Hopefully he can accomplish what I tried to do with the park." Although he failed to mention any names, the enthusiest community is hinting that it's Ccron Corp.

Ccron Corp is the owner of several theme parks on the east coast such as Emerald Lake which is still under construction.

Work has already started on recovering the park. Repair crews have already been spotted removing all the park's buildings and attractions. But suprisingly they are leaving the area closer to the front of the park including Hurricane, untouched. Only the coaster's station and queue building were removed.

Hmm....Interesting. Maybe I should make a trip down there and see what's going on......

More to come.

Greetings from warm and sunny Florida! It's always toasty here, but maybe that's why Pearl Island was built.

I moved down here in 2000 to help with the construction of the island and hotels. Daytona Beach had had a decreasing tourist population over the last few years, so in 1999 a group of developers created Pearl Island.

The first plans for Pearl Island were alsomost compared to what EPCOT at Disney World was like and what it turned out to be. Thousands of hotel rooms, many night clubs, a few rides, and clean sandy beaches.

Once Pearl Island opened in 2000, the crowds weren't tremendous, but the complex held it's own. For 2001, the main hotel was finished and featured a breath-taking viewing deck on the top floor. In 2002, a boardwalk-style area was created with a decent-sized waterpark. I can still remember getting drenched while soaking guests inside the waterpark from the Super Soaker coaster! There were some big plans ahead for 2003 when the park would expand tremendously by adding an inverted coaster, kids area and teen area; but the park recieved a big blow in August 2002.

Hurricane Geoffrey made landfall as a Category 4 storm just south of the island. Many of the coasters, rides and buildings weren't really built for a storm like that. Once the storm was over, the main access road to the island was gone, almost all of the buildings either were washed out to sea or collapsed from the winds. All of the park's rides and coasters suffered the same fate execpt for the Hurricane wooden coaster which, since it wasn't facing towards the sea, escaped the storm surge.

With the aftermath, Pearl Island now only has one ride and was sold to a company known as Ccron Corp. Hopefully they can bring the island back better than it was before.

I got a brochure today in the mail and it had this:

Returning in 2003, Pearl Island!.......It's Back and Better Than Ever!

Located just south of Daytona Beach and in close distance from Orlando, Pearl Island is the one-stop destination for vacation!

Want to visit the beach, but you really also want to go to an amusement park? We have that problem solved! Dip your feet into the ocean on one of our many sandy and clean beaches and experience the thrills on one of our extreme thrill rides or coasters. Not into coasters? How about strolling along our never-ending Boardwalk or staying overnight in one of the thousand hotel rooms overlooking the ocean?

You can do this and a lot more in the future Pearl Island!

Although still being renovated; when finished, Pearl Island will have many paths filled with rides and coasters.

Hurricane will also recieve some renovation.

Here are one of the Boardwalk areas under construction.

The logos were specially created by Ckef Logo Shop.

Hopefully I can travel out there when this place opens! Too bad I'm not on the construction crew this time around!

That's all for now!
