Yeah... went to Compounce yesterday for Nor'Easter (only because they had a tour of the park). Pretty much all the details from the upcoming season are known: Dash was retracked by GCI, Wildcat has new mag brakes and will run 2 trains, the Zoomers car ride is almost done, blah blah blah.

Downtime and the best makeshift parking lot ever (the employee lot had stuff in it, so we got to randomly park IN the park. Driving through the park was the coolest thing ever!)

Did you happen to get any pictures of the new cabana boat?

I have one, but it's from a distance and it's pretty blurry. It was parked under the tunnel, and we only saw it as we walked past from front gate from inside. Jerry said it's a pretty basic pontoon boat with 2 outboards. He also emphasized how many more trips they could do with it, as it's much faster than the sternwheeler.

It was a decent event. Not only was the offseason tour of the park cool but the best was being allowed to actually drive down the park's pathway. We've never done that in a park before! It was interesting, parking right in front of Down Time. If only we could do that during the operating season.
