sfgam2006 Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Hey, I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions when I go to Knott's between March 27th and the 29th. I know I am going on Silver Bullet, Xcelorator, and Supreme Scream. I also want to get some construcion pics for my own website so I don't know what order to do it in. If you could help me out, that would be great. Thanks everyone! sfgam2006
SharkTums Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Ghostrider, Silver Bullet, Xcelerator, Scream. Make sure to get there BEFORE opening.
sfgam2006 Posted February 11, 2007 Author Posted February 11, 2007 I'll try to if everyone else can keep up. Less than two months until the trip and I am so... excited. sfgam2006
PirateTinkerbell Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 You might want to check the Knotts calendar for March. I'm going on the 15th and Xcelerator is closed. I think it might be closed through the end of the month I want to go on it again!
PirateTinkerbell Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 http://www.knotts.com/park/guest/hours.shtml Xcelerator is closed through the 27th
vjgx Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Yeah... What Elissa said, but Xcelerator's in rehab on the 27th. Get there early, then run to GhostRider. When you finish with GhostRider, get to Silver Bullet. After that would typically come Xcelerator... But in this case, it's Supreme Scream. If you wanna ride Montezooma's Revenge or Jaguar!, do those next... After that, you can do whatever you want.
georgeriley15 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I assume this is referring to coaster solace??? I've heard it's crowded. Stay on Ghostrider 'til the event is over. Silver Bullet has B&M capacity so don't waste "ERT" time on that, ride it during GP hours. Supreme Scream is another typical S&S Power Tower, go to the Stratosphere in Vegas and ride the best one, then forget all the others. They are very slow loaders. Since XLerator is closed, all that leaves is the best 'woodie' in CA... Ghostrider. (Which, BTW, is almost never open when I visit the friggin' place)
SharkTums Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Silver Bullet does NOT have B&M Capacity. It has Knotts Capacity. I would hit it during ERT for sure.
robbalvey Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Last time I was there on a Saturday in December, Silver Bullet was running one train and an hour + line. That's Knott's "B&M Capacity" for you! --Robb
georgeriley15 Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I stand (sit) corrected. Since I've never been to a Solace event, I cannot comment on how well they match capacity and demand. Last time I was there, Ghostrider was closed, it was a weekday afternoon, and I don't remember how many trains were on SB. There was zero line for it except for the front since nobody was in the park. Everybody was on 'XLR8R' (I know the this refers to a ride in another park, but it's easier than looking up Knotts' particular spelling).
