Ccron10 Posted January 7, 2007 Posted January 7, 2007 Geoboldi Lake is back, but with a new name and new manager! The park was bought by a small amusement park corporation called Golden Gate Inc. of San Francisco CA. The new manager of the park had this to say: I am very proud to be the owner of this great park and I have created a step improvement plan.Phase 1- Renovation. Improving the existing rides and attractions while adding the Sky Buckets chairlift ride across the lake and a few others. Phase 2- Animal Park Construction. A new zoo area will be added along with a train ride for an upclose encounter with the animals. More rides will be added. Phase 3- Water Park Construction. A new water park will be added with a few sildes, a wave pool, and many others. A few rides will also be built. Phase 4- Final Phase. A lot of rides will be added along with a few coasters and water rides. Improvement to other areas of the park will also be included. With me as the new owner I vow to make all the guests who come here enjoy the park's hospitality and attractions. There are possible plans for other parks to be built from our corparation. More news will be coming soon. The Pretzel Knot 4D coaster is a ride that can be easily cloned and is able to be placed anywhere. This will be right next to the animal park. This is Emerald Lake so far. The Sky Buckets' station is completely out of Vermont Scenery. The ride goes from the park entrance to the Moon Wheel.
music11 Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Those first two screens dont work for me so i wont comment on them for the last picture im not so sure i like that 4d coaster because its not very realistic and really short and i hope your planning on adding more scenery detail if your not done with it.
Ccron10 Posted January 8, 2007 Author Posted January 8, 2007 I fixed the pics just now. Suprisingly Phase 2 is almost done and I'm not fully done with phase 1. Here's some pics of the animal area. I hope to add a robotic coaster going over the cages. Here are some pics. Yes, I will add more scenery to this area and I added a station to Pretzel Knot. Here's a full view of the zoo area.
Ccron10 Posted January 10, 2007 Author Posted January 10, 2007 For the last 2 days I've been having problems with the zoo and I decided to solve the problem by doing this... 1. Removing the zoo (execpt for the new slig shot ride, observation tower and food court for now) and turning it into a water park. 2. Later, the zoo will be built at a different location along with the robotic coaster. 3. The safari train will be put into storage until the new zoo is built. The problem was because of the animals being hungry and with 2 zookeepers per a exhibit, there seemed to be a problem. -Chris
Ccron10 Posted April 2, 2007 Author Posted April 2, 2007 I thought I might as well breathe some life back into this park. After the first attempt to turn this park into an ultimate resort, I came up with a better idea. After working on Pearl Island for a little while, I learned how to get really creative with this game. The park is now back and it will go under massive renovations and it will come out with a new name and partnership. From the creator of Pearl Island comes Hersheypark: Geboldi Lake. After the park's 100th anniversery, it announced to build a second one on an old site of a previous one once called Geboldi Lake. The park went belly-up a few years ago and the rides are still in great shape, but most of the park is a barren landscape. With the purchase of the land, the park and an assistant from the Pearl Island project, they plan add a sweet touch to the park. So far, a new entrance has been built and also a new spinning coaster called Cyclone have been constructed. More to come.
thrillrideseeker Posted April 2, 2007 Posted April 2, 2007 I think it's great!! Keep up the good work! ~Matthew
Ccron10 Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 What are you guys talking about? This park has nothing to do with the hawaii park that coasterdude5 is building, and becides my name is Chris.
kennywood!007 Posted April 3, 2007 Posted April 3, 2007 Ummmm, you're using Geboldi which is coasterdude5's chain name...
Ccron10 Posted April 3, 2007 Author Posted April 3, 2007 I'll rename the lake then. How about Sunset Lake?
coasterdude5 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 ^^ This is one of the parks I gave away a few months back.
Ccron10 Posted May 12, 2007 Author Posted May 12, 2007 I have changed the name on the park back to one of it's former names, Emerald Lake. After months of it sitting on my computer and being sidetracked with other parks, I have finally decided what to do. There will be a 10 year (on the game's time) 10 phase, multi million dollar expansion to turn this classic park into a cool theme park for adventure seeking families. The History: After opening in the late 1980's by the name of Geboldi-Brooks Lake, the park has had a classic touch to it, but after the Brooks company went bankrupt, the park started to fall into disrepair. The famous Geboldi Company which became a world-known theme park operator, kept the park and in 1999, planned to revive some life into Geboldi Lake. Their plans called for a re-built version of their Razu wooden coaster and also a few other rides as well. But as the year 2006 came to a close, the company wanted to get out of the theme park business, so they sold all of their parks to some developers who either wanted to close the parks or develop them even more. Geboldi Lake was one of the lucky ones, but not too lucky. The first owner which was a new amusement company called Golden Gate Inc. created a 4 phase plan that wanted an Animal Park, Water Park, and Amusement park built, but after a few months, the company decided to pull out and it was sold yet again. The last owners were the Hershey Entertainment and Resorts Co. They wanted to turn the park into a an ultimate resort, and so the name was changed to Hersheypark: Geboldi Lake. The park was never really that popular and HERCO pulled out of their plans because of their limited budget for it and the use of the Geboldi name. Since then the park layed abandoned until now. The Plans: The new owners changed the name back to just Emerald Lake and are planning a new 10 year, 10 phase project. No details are going to be released execpt only for the first year plans... -The main entrance is planning on getting a new make over with a new Alpine Theme along with a pay-one price admission. Which means a new ticket gate must be built. -Along with that, the abandoned Inverted Impulse Coaster in the far left of the park will open with a new name which is undecided yet. I will try to work on my HP re-creation and this park at the same time, so their might be a longer distance between updates than usual, check back later for the first update!
Ccron10 Posted May 16, 2007 Author Posted May 16, 2007 NEW FOR 2007! ULTRA THRUST and RHINETOWN This season is going to be a big undertaking for the park. New for this season is a pay-one price admission, new entrance gate, alpine themed village, 4 new rides and attractions. ULTRA THRUST is a inverted impuse coaster that launches riders up to a speed of 70 mph and it offers a cool station with running lights. Along with Ultra Thrust is a family coaster called ROLLERBAHN, a tobbogan ride through a small pine forest. This ride will be a big hit with the families. Some of the other rides are a beautiful miniature golf course called WINDSOR GOLF and a circus attraction called RHINELAND FAMILY CIRCUS. Even though there's a lack of food and drink stands in the park, something in the future is planned to solve this problem. THE RUMOR MILL There's been some talk of developing the QUAD SHOCK path in front of it into a midway and also made removing this ride all together and adding a schwartzkopf re-make or even adding a new water ride. Right now anything's possible. Stay Tuned! Ultra Thrust all by itself. Rollerbahn in the upper left corner and all of Rhinetown The restrooms had to be re-designed after a discovered design draw-back. The new admission gate had a soft opening Windsor Golf. Windsor Golf. Before it was built. That glockenspiel is the centerpiece of the new area. The guest services and season pass office. The land has been cleared and a underground pathway has been built for the construction of the new admission gate. When HERCO ran out of funds, they were only half way done with this impulse coaster.
thrillrideseeker Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 WOW! Its looking great! I love Ultra Thrust! Although if I were you I would have made the back spike on Ultra Thrust twisted too. Anyways keep up the great work! I can so not wait to see the next update ~Matthew
coasterdude5 Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 This is great to see my park getting some life into it! The only mistake with the history, Geboldi didn't entirely leave the themepark business - they sold over half of their parks, but kept five and are still "operating" them today. Other than that, this is great work! Here's the original link if anyone is interested: http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22669
Ccron10 Posted May 23, 2007 Author Posted May 23, 2007 ^Sorry, my bad. Phase 2 is only half completed and there's now some rumors surfacing about Phase 3 and even 4! The new coaster for 2007 is Sooper Looper! This Schwartzkopf re-make features tight hairpin turns, a thrilling loop, and a twisting layout. Along with the coaster is a freefall tower, tilt-a-whirl, candy shop, skyride and subway. From what I've heard, either a new themed area or a large, themed coaster could be built. There's also talk about developing the area near Omega and/or even removing it all together! Nothing that much so far for Phase 4. Ferry service might be brought back to the lake and the island might get developed. Hidden in a secret location, there's some talk about HERCO giving the park a few rides that they were going to build. This could be the next area to be renovated. The land for the new area or coaster has been flattened and cleared! Looks big. The new midway with the new tilt-a-whirl, freefall tower, skyride, and buildings. The skyride station. Some fences are still up in some places. The ride features two 90 degree turns. It will attract some well needed guests and attention. Sooper Looper so far, is a great addition to the park.
coastercrazed49 Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Looking Good. I love the main entrance area it looks really nice. Update soon!
coasterdude5 Posted May 23, 2007 Posted May 23, 2007 Looks good, you might want to change the colors of the new looper, they're very similar to the other looper's.
knotts04 Posted May 25, 2007 Posted May 25, 2007 I like how the looper looks, but it would be better if you changed the colors a little bit. But besides that I think the park looks great so far. Keep up the great work.
