TPDave Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Yeah, i'm just going on what Thorpes medium term development plan says. Though it's changed far too much to be taken seriously, some of the points probably still stand. Also, the consensus amoung employees seems to be that the next coaster will be a B&M (floorless or flyer). Either way i'm not complaining...
verticalzero Posted December 7, 2006 Author Posted December 7, 2006 A B&M "Floorless" would be great for Thorpe, a 1st in the UK. I've never ridden one, are they scary and do they use those "button" restraints..? Thorpe could do with a nice white "woodie" sometime in the future.
TPDave Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Trust me, all the fanboys around Thorpe are dying for a woodie, it would be amazing What do you mean "button" restraints? I've only ridden kraken and that was good so i wouldn't mind a floorless at thorpe, we need some more B&M's round here!
IceDragon Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 we need more B&M action... i sent an email off asking what plans lay ahead and which are true... i was that bored...
CGM Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 What do you mean "button" restraints? I think he means the B&M flyer/hyper style restraints which sort of use sliding pins to hold them in place. So no, B&M floorless coasters don't
exmouse Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 it could be a Gravity Group woodie but I doubt this because they don't plan to enter the European market just yet Really? That contradicts what the guys told me when I interviewed them for a magazine article back at the opening of the Voyage. They said they very much hoped to build a coaster in Europe soon and had already spoken to a few parks.
