fanatix Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 I was reading the message board when all of a sudden I heard "Theme Park" on the news. It was about Kidzania which is a new Theme Park in Tokyo Japan. Quote from the website listed below “The key word at Kidzania is “edutainment,” meaning an experience in which children can try their hand at working like grown-ups in various jobs in a safe, interactive and educational environment." http://www.japantoday.com/jp/feature/1150 I guess it might be fun for kids. No rides though. I think I would of liked it if I was young and maybe my school went there on a field trip.
the sound Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 ^ I read about a place in Miami which sounds sort of like this place. I think it was like "Kids World" Or something along the lines of that. I'm quite surprised that Japan hasn'y got a thing like this before, it sort of sounds like the sort of thing Japan is likely to have. Unlikely you would go for a field trip though, even if you did live in Japan. I think it would be aimed at 5-8 year olds.
YoshiFan Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 It sounds like a lot of fun for kids. I always enjoyed school trips to places like science museums and this sounds even better.
stormrider Posted October 20, 2006 Posted October 20, 2006 There's one in the Sacramento area that I heard about on the radio, which I think was called "Safetyville" http://safetycenter.org/svusahome.html
fanatix Posted October 24, 2006 Author Posted October 24, 2006 I have driven past the safteyville. It doesnt look quite the same as this kidzonia.
