BeemerBoy
If you wear flip flops on Dueling Dragons, you have to take them off and then hold onto them or sit on them. When I rode DD a week or so ago, I counted 6 people on one train wearing sandals who were not asked to remove them. So when we got seated and strapped in, I asked the op because it caught my curiosity. I asked "didn't you used to have to remove your sandals and either sit on them or weave the seat belt through them to hold 'em in place?" He replied, "we've never forced anyone to remove sandals. It's their own option whether they want to remove them or not." Hmmm, I'm not sure what the real deal is then, because I definitely remember being asked to remove mine and use the belt to hold 'em when the ride first opened. It also begs the question, are parks with inverts that don't necessarily come in direct contact with a queue line or pathway more lenient towards sandal wearing? Obviously not everyone is on the same page with this one.
