I haven't gone to any CF parks this year but I have been to multiple CF parks in the past - when you are using your season pass at another CF park do you still have to sign in at guest services and get a complimentary pass rather than just swiping your card like you can at any Six Flags park?

It is a pain in the butt that whole signing in thing I hope they change that by next year if they haven't already.

^ I don't know how it was in 2005, but in 2004 I had a Dorney Park Pass.

at Cedar Point - I had to sign in at Cedar Point

at Geauga Lake - I was able to scan the pass

at Michigan's Adventure - went to Guest Service and they gave me a paper ticket that could be scanned

at Valleyfair - Guest Services escorted me through their building through another door and into the park

Elissa - if you can teach someone at Knotts to use the backspace maybe there is hope for TPR members to use spell check

Knott's involved signing in at guest services and getting a paper ticket, guest services took a while to work out what to do.

At least Elissa has taught them how to use the backspace key which should help.

Here's hoping they ditch this system, it would be horrid if a whole heap of people showed up with other park season passes at the same time - imagine the wait.

I currently have a PKD season pass, which I successfully and without incedent used to go to Carowinds a couple of weeks ago. I'm planning on hitting PKI on October 8. I'm guessing that my safest bet is to wait until I've been to PKI before I get my pass for next year? Or is the Maxx Pass only no good at current Cedar Fair parks for 2006 and still useable at the former Paramount Parks?

^welcome to our world of confusion. The facts I have been able to ascertain are in the first post of the thread.

Your 2006 Paramount pass should still be good at Paramount parks for 2006. However, a 2007 MaxxPass from a former Paramount Park will only be good at that Paramount Park in 2006, before being enabled at all CF parks in 2007. Buying a 2007 MaxxPass should not invalidate the 2006 pass.

Knotts guest service building is full of idiots. IF there is one place that REALLY needs better employees its the guest relations.

And, a 2007 Maxx Pass bought at CP doesn't work in 2006 at CP at all, because it's "new". Man, this has got to be the one area where Six Flags has CF just whipped all around. This year I bought a Wyandot Lake pass for $55, and was able to get into Six Flags parks through a quick scan at the gate.
