Scaparri Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I bet B&M is working on a 4D designed, I remember reading an article about Port Adventura getting one in 2005 .. well guess that's gone now. INTAMIN has the sudo 4D .. I guess waiting on that or a park to take a chance on another INTAMIN prototype is just down the pipe ... SF? CF? who will take the risk and financial burden first? I'm not sure about that one. After reading the interview with Walter Bolliger on Thrillnetwork, it doesn't really sound like they are interested in going in that direction. Not that I really expect him to spill all of their concepts out to a website, he still sounded pretty sincere. He sounded almost critical of other companies for taking concepts as far as they have instead of perfecting what they have and providing quality rides. Here's the link: http://thrillnetwork.com/stories_view.php/978. I don't know though. I definately wouldn't mind seeing a B&M 4D!
coaster1 Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 I know they are both traditionalist .. hence the stay away from launched rides. But I think they could be working on one since they have developed a flyer. They are known for testing and maturing designs before they sell them. air and S:UF had some issues but nothing compared to what Vekoma had with their flyers and what INTAMIN has had with the launched coasters. Matter of proving the design before selling .. that's why I prefer B&M a bit more over others.
