odene497 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 I recently went on a trip to Kentucky and West Virginia. We were able to spend a day at SFKK. We thought on a Thursday the park would be empty, but while we were there we found out that there were a few thousand kids in all of these groups that day, but it still wasn't that bad. The first thing we did was head over to Roadrunner Express. This was my first wild mouse, and I got really nervous every time we went around one of the hairpin turns. I always feel like the side wheels are going to snap off with all those laterals, but it was fun. Next was Greezed Lightnin', and I had been looking forward to this the whole trip. The line was short the entire day, and my brother and I got the front after waiting two or three rides. I LOVE THIS RIDE. Chances are anything with a launch will be my favorite. After that, we went over the bridge to Chang, and waited probably about an hour, because it broke down. It was shaky in some spots, and it made my head hurt more than T2. T2 had about an hour wait because they were running one train. It was soooooooo hot waiting in the sun, it got to around 100 that day. T2 didn't bother my head much, but when I got off I felt like I had been punched in the chest. We tried to get a quick ride on the Blizzard River, but that broke down too, and we waited FOREVER. Next we went to Thunder Run, and I was really excited for it. They were running one train, but there was no line so it wasn't bad. I love the airtime hills, but it was pretty shakey sometimes, and this ride also made my chest sore. It was a good ride overall, and I would have ridden again, but didn't. On our way to Twisted Twins, the park got emptier and emptier. There was literally no one at that end of the park. There were about 10 people in the Twisted Twins station, including us, and the ride ops. I never saw the signs for the different names, so I don't know which one I rode, but it was the pink one, the blue one was closed. I rode twice just because of the lack of people. I didn't like the squeally noises this ride makes, and it was really nothing special. On the way back to the front of the park I rode the Roller Skater. My older brother sat this one out, and had no idea why I would want to waste my time on a small coaster like that. This was my first time going on a coaster just for the credit, I used to just skip little ones. I rode Greezed Lightin' five more times in a row, because there was no one in line, and the lady was nice enough to not make me have to go all the way around. Now was what I was afraid of. I knew I had to do it. Hellevator. I'm not a big fan of drop rides. Demon Drop was my first and it scared the crap out of me. Drop rides feel so much different, and its a feeling I'll have to get used to, because I wasn't going to chicken out. I had to try it at least once. It didn't look that tall, or like it took that long to get to bottom, but when your on it, its completely different. It was the weirdest feeling, it didn't feel like a freefall but like someone had me by my shoulders and was forcing me to the ground. Its like you can't catch your breath, you can't adjust to it, you just can't wait for it to stop, but at the same time, it was fun . I wanted to ride once more, but it was getting cloudy, and I think there was actually a tornado watch. I wanted to ride Chang once more, in the front. There was no line, and just as I was getting into the station, it got REALLY windy, and started to sprinkle. I was locked in, when they said they had to shut it down . It was about four o'clock and it was just getting worse and worse, everything closed, so we left. Overall it's a nice park with some good coasters. I just wish I could have spent some more time there. There are not a lot of pictures, as it was my brother's girlfriend's camera and there was only enough room for a few. Sorry if the pictures are different sizes, I got a little confused adjusting them Edit:I thought I had them situated right, but they switched backwords Greezed Lightnin' kicked a$$! The launch could be just a little bit stronger though Twisted Twins!!! The one I rode sounded like it was about to fly off the track. Too bad the other one wasn't open It's like 3000 degrees outside Me being cool after I conquered Hellevator, sorry its blurry. You can tell its super hot becuase I'm sweating profusely I quick took this just as it was starting to rain OMG OMG!!!!!! My first glimpse of PKI!! There's no way my mom would stop there The pic was just quick taken out the window, sorry it's so crappy
knottslover77 Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 OMG! Drop Zone is huge! Its like 300 feet right. --Jay
pianojohn Posted September 17, 2006 Posted September 17, 2006 Good pics but PLEASE! Break up your TR into readable paragraphs. ie 3-4 sentences. It makes it easier to read and people will most likely read it instead of skip it (like I did). Thanks!
odene497 Posted September 17, 2006 Author Posted September 17, 2006 ^ Yea i did indent and everthing, but I'll put spaces between all of them now
