I would seriously die on that rapids ride... too many waterfalls for me. I don't like to get off rides like a drowned rat, unless there is a reason to (ex: Popeye's and Dudley's) But, I do like to go on water rides that just get you "wet", not "drenched." (I like Log Flumes a lot).

I`m planning to hit Hershey next year on my Halloween US Tour.

 

Can you tell me about Hershey`s Halloween:

What about the rides (esp. on fridays) are they all open or do they close some rides for Halloween?

All water rides including the Roller Soaker are closed during the halloween events. I think everything else is open but as it gets closer to the event, HersheyPA.com will put up a full ride list. I don't think any other rides get closed down because unlike other parks that need to staff the actual Halloween actitives, Hershey has none in the park. There is some themeing and decorations and a trick or treat trail for kids but other than that there is nothing like no haunted houses, mazes etc.

^^Captain, since you are nice enough to show me around you're neighborhood in a few weeks, when you come to Hershey, I'll do the same for you.

 

But yes, the water rides will all be down, but everything else should be up and running. This year's event starts in early October, and as YoshiFan said, they'll release the rideslist on the website. I went to the Springtime in the Park event back in April and the only coasters that were closed were Lightning Racer and Roller Soaker.

 

A Friday night should have some favorably lite crowds too!

I think I can handle to miss Rollersoaker and other water rides.
