Shockwave
Had an ace time at Blackpool on Thursday, it only rained for half an hour and the queues weren't too bad! -Grand National has now been ruined not so much by the new trains, although they do take longer to check, since BPB only seem to use one operator per train. But the new brakes are atrocious, the load/unload process is now beyond a joke. -Rollercoaster's seatbelts are unnecessary, but not a travesty. -The Big One in the rain was probably a bad idea, but we did go on again later when it was a bit drier. -I won Steeplechase! -Valhalla is still very wet and very good. -Log Flume will be getting removed in a couple of weeks, so I grabbed a token farewell ride. -The £15 online wristbands are an awesome deal for people who go just once a year, but by doing that they have really undercut themselves on their season passes, which at £150 (that's nearly $300) I simply wouldn't pay for. The amount of reduced entry deals they have going on means that you would be mad to pay £150 for something you might not get value out of. So in general, The Pleasure Beach is still good, but in some areas they really needs to wake up and smell the coffee. Hopefully the new ride for 2007 will kick start some more positives for the park. Thanks for another cool day Blackpool! Two months ago, every person on the UK trip was leaning out of their hotel window for this! And sometimes it looks nice too. The tallest, fastest, steepest rollercoaster in Blackpool! For all you scaffold enthusiasts. There we go again! If you can see us, Polly and I got front row! Time for one more ride on the Big 'Un! I think this is what you call a "Barry" moment. Si gets ready to pound it on the Derby Racer! Big One eats through wooden coaster. Where you can get some awesome Steeplechase photos! This would be better with a train though. After getting stung on the Big One, we hit the Maze to calm down. Bling was looking a bit broken today. Elephant Cock! Gash! Minge! Rectuuuuuuuum! Zebra Bastard! Talking of fizzy drink coasters, this is what the Big One train sounds like going down the first drop when it's raining... If you don't who this photo is for, you need to come here more often. This one's for Ryan and his huge bottle of Irn-Bru. Pound It! New ride signage is now on view. One of the ACErs found a permanent home here. Ghost train! Being the ghost fanatic, Si was really looking forward to this. Splashdown!!! Dunno what that is. River caves fog insantity! w00t! That's another Arrow ride being put to sleep! Token ride on the soon to be defunct Log Flume. Si holding on for dear life! First drop hands up! Si and Polly are just thinking "Turn the freakin' flash off you tool!" Big One from the Big Dipper. Even this ugly mug! Gold Mine bought out the signature move in all of us. We love Rollercoaster! Time for classic woodies. The Avalanche queue got pretty cold! Nobody will buy Spin Doctor because it's lame! There's two of them and one of me, but I still won! Only two sides running, but that's ok. Of course, the first ride was Steeplechase. This update is brought to you by Tom, Simon and Polly. And here's another one! Walking towards PBB, a signature shot if you will.

jynx242
Thanks for the pictures - it appears that a good time was had by all. That season pass price, however, is insane!
