kennywood!007 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Hey Robb and Elissa do you guys adjust to the new time zones fairly well. And what do you do to adjust. Do you like start sleeping in the day in CA the wake up at night? I know I would be very bad with a time zone change. -Zack
SharkTums Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 There are certain things you do to minimize the effects of jetlag. Try to sleep on the plane, avoid alcohol and caffene, eat lightly, and once you get to the new time zone, FORCE yourself to be on their schedule starting the very first day. It gets harder and harder as you get older, but still totally doable, and a must if you travel like Robb and I do!
kennywood!007 Posted August 6, 2006 Author Posted August 6, 2006 Thanks Elissa. You guys do travel more then anyone I have ever heard of.
coasterdude5 Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Haha, by the title I thought new time zones had been made. Wow. I haven't gone through a major time zone change (2 hours tops), but I would've slowly gone back to the old routine so thanks for the tip.
ParkTrips Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 It gets harder and harder as you get older, but still totally doable, and a must if you travel like Robb and I do! LOL!! This reminds me of when they came to my house before SFOG a few months ago... when they walk in, Robb immediately found my bed as if he had been here before, and passed out instantly. Elissa.. not quite, she was at least able to stay awake most of the day.
Rollerholden Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 My max time change was 3 hours (I've done it both ways). My first day at Cedar Point I got an hour of sleep on the plane before..but I wasn't tired at all because I was so excited to be there you know? It was really easy to stay up late there!
map2 Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 When I know I'll be on a plane more than 6 hours, and there is a time zone change that can affect my sleeping hours, the night before I leave, I try to stay up late, so it will be easier for me to sleep on the plane.
