coasterferg Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 So this past monday my girlfriend and I took a double date road trip to chicago to get away from crappy Nebraska. The trip was short, but sweet and concluded with my first visit to Six Flags Great America. The park was awesome. I could definitely tell this wasn't originally a Six Flags as the park looked very nice and themed, at least in the older parts of the park. All the coasters were awesome, I was not dissapointed with one. And we never had to wait more than 30 minutes. I was especially impressed with the parks wooden coasters. Viper and American Eagle, were smooth, fast and fun! And I even got to ride Deja Vu on my first try, and only waited 25 minutes! HOLLA! Aside from it being uber hot and leaving the park sweating like a prostitute in church, it was an amazing day. And, I earned my 100th coaster on this day, WOOT WOOT! Justine and I had to take a couple picture by Viper as it was friggin SAWEET! Very entertaining ride. Terrible picture of me though... Work it Baby! We were bored while in line for Raging Bull as a lucky guest decided to BARF on one of the trains as we were in line. This was the biggest and best Six Flags I've been too! Was an awesome day. *sighs in reflecton* Mandatory photo of Batman! Awesome forces on this one. OH how I love those forces... Who are the people in this bus? I feel sorry for them... Navy Pier Ferris Wheel in Chicago. If Superman were just a little more buff we could pass as twins! *uber sarcasm* Back Spike Nut Crusher: The Ride. Seriously, is that back spike hold necessary!?!? Iron Wolf was rough, but fun. And twisty, and reddish...and I'll stop now Raging Bull Was special for me! Guess who earned coaster #100 with Raging Bull...YES! ME! WOOT! Mandotry Demon Loop photo, CHECK! Don't be jealous that I got my Deja Vu credit on my first try! Don't be a hatin'. Yay Deja Vu! I was pretty proud of this photo... Justine is ragin' along with the coaster in this photo. Unfortuenately she's not from Louisianna, but if she were, this photo would be uber awesome as there would be 2! ragin' cajuns!! OMG...too bad though. BOO! It should be a law that trucks should never be allowed to pass trucks!
Guest Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Wow, awesome pics. Deja Vu was working?!?!? It's a miracle!
Golfie Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 V2 only crushes your nuts if you're not careful getting off (OWWW!) It's probably because I'm so skinny that the harness comes so close to me.
Cameron Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Glad to hear Eagle is running well again .. when I was there about a month ago it was so heavily braked that I genuinely thought it wouldn't make it back to the station. Really disappointing. Cameron.
mcjaco Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Back in high school we used to make red F's out of typing paper and tape them to the bus on school trips. We were then FLAMERS. I know, dumb but, funny at the time.
Rollerholden Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Yeah...stopping on the back spike...sure glad my V2 (SFMW) doesn't do that anymore! I thought twisting on the back spike (Wicked Twister) was much more intense, and pleasant, than stopping and getting hurt in the crotch.
