thefitness Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 im new to NL so im not gonna say its bad but i can tell you what helped me smooth out some of my coasters. Try practicing inversion. yes the are hard but not once you get the hang of it. also try making paraballic hills(sp?) Both these things helped me get a better feel of how to minipulate the track. and uhh ya the only thing eles i can say is keep practicing!
BiCoastal Kid Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 pointers! Lifts, brakes, and stations need to be straight. For your lift, use three segments or more. One for the entry, one for the long straight section climb, and another for the top. For starters, the same can be applied to your hill shaping too, just have a shorter and steeper straight piece. It's a way to simplify things in the beginning. For now I wouldn't recommend you trying to make these twister layouts. FOR NOW, to get a better feel for it, and how to make better transitions, just try some simple out & back designs, with fairly simple fan or helix turns.
jamesissoocool Posted July 30, 2006 Author Posted July 30, 2006 tell me if theres anything wrong with this one slideways.nltrack spot the gimmic
Rollerholden Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 ^ Uh yeah, there were a few shakey spots, and the brakes at the end should be more level and straight. But if this really is your first coaster and first day, it's excellent!
