KKAddict127 Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 Hey folks, I'm heading out to SFMM this Sunday, and knowing their reputation, I'd like to know which rides have been closed recently. I'm especially interested in Deja Vu (came SO close to getting on it at SFOG...but no), X and Tatsu. The Sky Tower would also be nice. Which coasters (any of them) should I expect closed? Also, which should I expect to have the longest lines? Any other vital info that you have is appreciated as well. Thanks in advance for your help.
Top Thrill Dragster Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Flashback has been closed since 2003 and X is at one train operation.
p0tat0 Posted July 29, 2006 Posted July 29, 2006 I went yesterday, everything was running pretty good. Skytower was closed though . All of the rides were running more than one train which was good. umm.. yea it was nice
KKAddict127 Posted July 29, 2006 Author Posted July 29, 2006 How was Deja Vu? Was it open? Obviously, it can only run one train...
socalMAN123 Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Skytower was closed It was closed because some idiot tried to pry off the emergency exit's lock and broke it off. Then, when we were on it, the door opened and we stopped about 200 feet in the air. That's why it was closed. ... No, I'm totally kidding. It might have been because of that, but after we got off, they had the other side working and people were going up. If you play the cards right, you will get on a lot. Just make sure you do Tatsu first, X second, and Deja Vu third. Then you can roam around the park and hit coasters that you want to go on. And since you're wondering about Deja Vu, it rocks. Make sure you sit in the very last seat on the far right side. ---Brent
robbalvey Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 We just got back. X was one train - 3 hour wait, Deja Vu looked to be about 3 hours also, Tatsu was broken the entire time we were there, parking was a mess and way out into overflow, and the whole place was *PACKED* - 60 to 90 minute lines for all other major rides. Have fun! --Robb "Although Sky Tower was actually OPEN!" Alvey
SharkTums Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 ^Don't forget...SkyTower closed as our elevator came down!!!
KKAddict127 Posted August 6, 2006 Author Posted August 6, 2006 Dang, I missed ya Robb, I went Sunday. Had a pretty good day, got on Tatsu, Deja, Goliath, Scream and Ninja...and almost got on Riddler's, but there was a small incident...more to come in my photo/text TR...oh yeah, X was one train and 2 hours at about noon, we decided to skip. Thanks for all of your help, everyone (whether it was true or not... ).
