canada Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 All this talk about people dying after riding because of heart attacks is scaring me. I dont think I have a heart condition but I'm not 100 % certain. If I had one do you think it would show in a regular blood test? Also, I've only visited one park in my life and that's La Ronde. On the B:TR Clone I've blacked out a couple times and also on Goliath I greyed out a little while the train was coasting up the hill after the first drop. Seeing as I will be going to GADV in 2 weeks to ride Ka... I'm scared that I could die.
thomas2 Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Well if you've never felt anything wrong with your heart or anything, then it normally shouldn't be a problem. If you're so uncertain then you should just go to doctor and make him/her make a quick check. They should know if anything's wrong. Have a fun day at SFGAdv.
bgwfreak Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 ^^ If you've ridden coasters before you won't have any problems. If you're that concerned about it go to the doctor and have an EKG done and make sure you're ok. Millions of people ride coasters every year and don't have any problems. It's just that you hear about the cases where something bad happens all the times, you never hear "Wes went on a coaster today and didn't have any problems!". It's like being scared of airplanes, when it's actually a whole lot safer than driving.
