Superman06
i just went to morey's pier. i rode the great white and sea serpent. great white was ok not bad i was pleasantly surprised. i got a little airtime. sea serpent was ok too. couldnt get on great noreaster. someone got hurt just before i got on and they closed the ride. i know its just a few coasters but i think its not too bad for a boardwalk just wondering what anyone thats ridden these thinks of them... ECZenith
Someone gets "hurt" on the Great Nor Easter about every 3 minutes... It's one of those "Oooooh, nice location pretty view... AGHH my spine!!" coasters. I'm going to give it another try on the 18th when I head down there, but I'm more looking forward to the rethemed dark rides. Did you go through them? Were they any good? Also, do they still have the "Maelstrom"? It's one of my favs.
sickskillz14
When I went down last year it was pretty fun. Got on sea serpent 2 times and Great 'Noreaster 2 times. I loved going on Great 'Noreaster because the GP had no clue how bad the ride was and would curse and complain about the ride. Especially the instant brakes. Sea Serpent was fun too. Never got on Great White though.. my mom said she went and it was really bad... but of course i know she was lieing since she does that alot about coasters, but i didnt ride anyway. Anway, i think the go kart tracks beat the coasters! The tracks are awesome. Especially the one under the boardwalk.
ECZenith
I had a hard time deciding which I preffered... Great White or Boulder Dash... I like BD better but Great White has that surprisingly big drop right under the board walk to start the ride, one of the best first moments on a coaster I've experienced. Superman06
rethemed dark rides? do you mean like the curse of the mummy and pirates of the wildwoods? they were actually kinda lame. there wasnt much to them. we thought it was a waste going on them. to be honest didnt even notice maelstom
ECZenith
I love dark rides, even the sometimes "cheesy" jersey shore boardwalk dark rides. They just seem to be a dying breed and I want to get as many in as possible. To answer your q- I went to Wildwood a few years ago and tried out the houses, there's quite a bit all over the shore, but these are wildwood's, note the changes. On the boardwalk Zombie World Den Of Lost Thieves Morey's Dante's Inferno (now Dante's Dunegon after being redone) Dark River (now Pirares after being redone) Jersey Junkyard (lamest of them all, no retheme) Curse Of The Mummy (no retheme) They had a really good walkthrough Castle Dracula on the boardwalk that burned down because some idiot kids had nothing better to do... The best haunted house on the whole shore is Stillwalk Manor in Seaside Heights, everything I would want in a modern haunted house, and it actually made me jump!
