ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 I've seen all you lot posting your parks and stuff on here recently, and i must say they're all very impressive. I thought I'd share my latest design with you all. It's called "Sweetwater Valley", and im customizing everything as i go (land, water etc) so it's not all going to be completley flat. Enjoy. OK, so here's the entrance way. I've gone for a "log cabin", "naturalistic" theme to it, with the big wheel in the middle as the focal point as you walk up the main street.
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 more entrance way a bit more foliage for the entrance way to give this great overview
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 and again I added a small pond infront of the wheel too
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 From here it was time for the first Rollercoaster, best to start big I thought. I had no idea of theme or colour sceme or anything here so i just built the damn thing. It's a "Twister Roller Coaster", tried to make it as big as possible...it does go underground, but i don't know if you can see where from the picture. It contains four 2 corkscrews and an underground barrel roll. Here's the coaster
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 The rollercoaster had that nice blue colour, and somehow I got the idea of crystals in my head. From here came the idea of "Crystal Gardens" with a glass, sharp look to the environment. I coated the station with glass walls, and added glass barriers around the "plaza". The brick building contains bathrooms, a pizzeria and a drinks stand. I also added the doube-inverter called "Shatter".
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 From the back of Crystal Gardens. back of crystal gardens
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 connecting the main street to crystal gardens called for something small but effective. I came up with an overgrown island, with chain fences, almost like a snake encolsure at a zoo. I built just the one ride, "Infestation", and the small hut on the left houses an ATM and First Aid Unit.
Worm Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 MINI TRAINS! Do you have Wild! cause i haven't got such a big ferris wheel? at least, i havent looked yet...
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 Yeah man, smaller trains go faster, and you can have more of them making the queue go that bit quicker. and yeah ive got soaked and wild. And in reply to the first chap, yeah the corkcrews look a bit ugly, but they increase the ride intensity a bit, and the excitement. Heres another view of "Infestation" with the Rollercoaster, simply named "The Crystal" behind.
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 ok next time to have some fun with the waterfalls! In the opposite corner to the rollercoaster, i built a small mountain range, and created the waterfall coming off of it. This meant for a water or beach based theme to the area next to it, that also has to tie into the scenery of main street. One solution...PIRATES! Always good in a tight spot. You can see the "Pirate's Cove" area beneath the waterfall there. There is no rollercoaster here, as I've aimed it at a slightly younger age, yet theres plenty for all tastes. Pirate's Cove
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 the building in the middle has the ride on the side of it! Called "Overboard". Inside the building contains the ride queue (quite small), several shops and lots of pirate animatronics and treasure chests etc....
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 Here we have "Swashbuckler" (the pirate ship) and "Rum Shaker" (the rotor ride)
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 more shops and a small "pier" looking out to the waterfall
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 also gave the area a mini-golf circuit, plenty of theming here
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 K now for my fav bit of the whole park. This small area is called Mayfair House, and contains a Duel Steeplechase track. The track itself may not LOOK much, but its got about a 7.0 exccitment rating, and the theming is awesome. First here's the track...
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 I've themed it like an old English mansion, complete with a courtyard and garden. From this first pic you can meerly see the tracks coming out of the back of it
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 here you can see the beautiful courtyard, complete with garage...on the right (actually a shop...sells hotdogs) and the entrance way on the left. Looks cool eh?
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 and another photo from the side...incidentally the wooden building is the exit to the wheel.
ELZ Posted July 5, 2006 Author Posted July 5, 2006 and finally (for now) a nice view of the park from the water
NitroRider Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Pretty good looking park, but the crystal coasters corkscrews are to close together, and you can do more than picture per post.
kenshinmac Posted July 5, 2006 Posted July 5, 2006 Please please stop posting one picture per post... It is really annoying... Put your comments on the file area... Then it will show comments directly below the picture so we can look at it at th same time instead of endless scrolling... Oh and on that note smaller pictures would probably be better...
