ECZenith Posted June 30, 2006 Posted June 30, 2006 As some of you know, I make small scale models of coasters using wire and other materials, I'm looking at sculpting some of the "Disney Mountains" and making some Disney style ride models, taking a break from the SF/Busch Cedar Fair models I've made so far. The one ride I'm having a problem getting an idea of the layout is TDS's. Is there a digram out there, or someone who has a picture of the layout of the ride. The sculted mountains will have removable areas to reveal details like track structure, etc. so getting details is important. Thanks for any help in advance!

I would be very interested in seeing some of your work. I definitely know a thing or two about Disney Mountains , so I'll see what I can do if you need any help. I have never been on Journey To The Center Of the Earth, and honestly, I know absolutely nothing about it, but I can help you out with some other rides. For example, if you want to do a model of the Space Mountain in Florida, I can show you where to find a POV video with the lights on. I hope you find what you are looking for, just keep searching Google. You never know what you may find. Good luck!
ECZenith Posted July 1, 2006 Author Posted July 1, 2006 Looking at aerial pictures, I see the ride is similar to Test Track in that it also does the slow scenes in the show building enclosed in Mount Prometheus and then after it jumps out of the mountain and dips back down, it completes a fast wide turn that surrounds the rest of the "island". Is there anyone who has been on the ride that could even sketch out the track layout and how both 20,000 and Journey are in the same show building in the mountain? Any help would be appreciated, google's not helping and the video is just confusing me more to the layout.
FLIPDUDE Posted July 1, 2006 Posted July 1, 2006 hey,do you have a link ot other models youve made? id love to see them
ECZenith Posted July 1, 2006 Author Posted July 1, 2006 See the "amethyst" topic in the video game forum. It's not my thread but I showed a picture there. I'll take some new pics of my older stuff when I get a day off from my real work.
Reon Posted July 2, 2006 Posted July 2, 2006 I wonder when someone is going to pull out good old "Journey to the Center of Robb"
