coasterdude5 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 I went by the park today and it's pretty sad looking. My sign still hangs out front. You can still barely make out Libertyland. There were three guys there I guess deciding on how to dismantle the Revolution. Zippin Pippin = $2,500 The Rebellion is also still standing. Cool shot. Independance station Where the tilt-a-whirl once stood. Remember Libertyland
music11 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Why did the park close down? i know it may sound like a stupid question but i havent heard about this.
kennywood!007 Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 That made me sad Its ashame the park closed it looked like a cool park
IwantRevenge Posted June 27, 2006 Posted June 27, 2006 Looks like a good park. Pictures of defunct parks and ride always make me sad
memphish Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I was going to head over there at the end of this week myself and see what was left. John, do you know who picked up the Revolution or Log Flume? I'd be interested to know where those were going. Edit: Just checked out your site, PA eh? Any idea which?
dougstanton Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 According to ACE, a normal person bought Revolution...for an amazing price. If I had money and land, I would have bought it in a heart beat. ONLY $55,000!!!! Okay, so it isn't the greatest roller coaster haha, but who can say they have a full size roller coaster in their yard....that is ridiculously cheap. No reason that thing couldn't have sold for around $1 million, but I guess their main concern is they need to get rid of it and very few parks would want to pick up a ride like that.
commander jigga Posted June 28, 2006 Posted June 28, 2006 I would love to have a rollercoaster in my back yard, dang thatd be so cool. Ha
