Disney operated hotels usually are at 100% occupancy aren't they? I don't think they would really benefit that much from that policy. I foresee restrictions like crazy when they first open because "liability" and to appeal to the public but they will quickly reduce restrictions.

That's great news! Thanks for putting this to our attention! hopefully this sets a precedent for other parks in America! Right now in Michigan we're still at Stay in Place orders! It's great seeing people having fun on a Ferris Wheel!

I expect social distancing to only last a month or two from when the parks open. It's all theatre at this point. The virus has been here since at least January, there's no difference opening a theme park in a month compared to last month as there's been no health developments/situation is still the same only policy's have changed. The parks will comply with the security theatre for now to open (As we roll our eyes over the silliness of it all), especially the regional parks (Six Flags, Cedar Fair, other independent parks), but I can foresee them dropping the act quite quickly.

I love the concept of tidying the area up a bit more and adding a themed log flume around Mine Ride. But I'm unsure Cedar Fair/Point has enough confidence in theming to do so. But they have been upping theming in the past year with Forbidden Island and trying to appeal more towards family's, so who knows! I also wish when they redid the entrance they woulda made it less bland. It's always been ugly. It needs some sort of fountain or nature element and something that represents the park history/identity and is elegant. The courtyard is more than big enough to accommodate something that's grand.

Thanks! I don't know if this is the right forum but I was also wondering how likely it is for an American to get a job there? I just graduated Highschool and plan to go to community college and work at Cedar Point during the summers (already hired for this summer) and work at Kings Island when college is session (my community college is in Cincinnati, Sinclair community college, and am 18 and regardless of career is a great way to build a resume). I think i'd like to work there when I'm done with my 2 years at community college, I don't know dutch but figure i'll take some classes in college. Can anyone offer some other suggestions or tips? I just fell in love with the place and thought it would be really cool to try and get involved somehow. (Also if it helps I'm pretty good at things like Planet Coaster but that's not really a qualification).

Efteling left quite an impression on me (I rank it above Disney Parks), so glad i got the opportunity to visit last year and glad that they're reopening! With that said I can never find much discussion about the park because it's european (most americans don't travel for parks outside us), does anyone have any thoughts about what the next addition to the park will be or just something that you find that's cool about efteling? I'd love to go back sometime soon! Thinking about this specific park makes me all happy inside! It's a great memory/discussion to have with all the lockdowns to keep my spirits up!

Ahhhhhh that makes sense! I'm not from Utah but it would make sense that they would open pretty soon considering zoos are opening and other parks have openings coming up!

I'm not sure if this is up to date but according to the website schedulue Lagoon will be opening on May 16th. http://www.lagoonpark.com/park-info/schedule-hours/ , which could be a possibility since zoos are open in Utah already. If this is true than it will be one of the first parks to open in the United States!

It looks like they plan on operating as soon Ohio gives them permission to do so.

Based on this video I think they plan on operating very soon. [fbvideonew] [/fbvideonew] With zoos open in Utah, Six flags preparing for opening, and Cedar Point has managers and HR on salary and staff hired, I think they'll be open in June.
