I got it in my stocking and luckily found this thread first before playing it, since I was thinking this would be RCT3 for PS2 which it really isn't. The game is alright, it's not bad, but I feel is lacking that RCT feel where you're in control of everything including path placement and scenary. I like being able to talk to anyone and everyone that visits the park, however I'm not fond of how 'unreal' these conversations feel. For example, when would a 9 year old have such an expanded vocabulary and able to understand such a random fact? And when would some girl that told you to go away after a hug attempt then turn around and say how you've just talked about her favorite marsupial? I mean, if you're supposted to talk with them to help you understand how your park is doing, and all they reply with is: "It's great, don't change a thing" doesn't seem satisfying. I guess I'll take that as I'm doing my job well then? Pros: -Gameplay is easy, anyone can build their own themepark and talk to people with no trouble at all. -Easy to build coasters without worrying about them being 'realistic', not having to worry about if it'll complete the circuit or if it'll slam back into the station, it does it all on it's own. -Able to play your own mini golf games and race your own tracks. This might not be that big of a deal for some, but it means a lot to me having that ability to enjoy my creation the way it's supposted to be enjoyed. Cons: -Since building the themepark is idiot-proof, it lacks that RCT feel most of us love -Feels like this game is more about the numerous mini games it contains rather than running a theme park. It'll make you challenge a guest to beat this certain high score in order to advance. So this does become a problem for those who don't like certain types of mini games and want to complete the game. -The 'power' allowence I feel is lower than it should be, since I have a coaster and a kart track in one area, and there's room for one carnival ride and a stall, and I've got plenty more room in other build zones, but if I want more, I have to either get rid of the coaster or track, or shorten them both to save 'power'. Maybe there's enough power to go around to make the park full, but if you've got both coasters filled around the build zones and you have space to keep building, wouldn't it make sense to allow you to continue building there so it doesn't look like a zoo of supports? I think I've got it all covered? I'm almost done completing the game, just need to go back through the rest of the parks and get all gold coins, which I would find challenging with some of these mini games they're asking me to complete. Overall I think it's a good game if you're wanting to have fun without worrying about being as realistic as RCT. I wonder if there'll be a happy medium in between thrillville and RCT?

Check out my Mysterious Island and see what you can with that -
Wow, I didn't know there was actually a shark head you can use, that is awsome! One thing that does bother me about water rides are the lifts, it just feels unnatural for a boat to climb a hill when supposidly it's all the same level. So I suggest having it do the usual jaws ride nice and flat, and then have it either A) go straight for the drop to a lower section and have them unload there and the rafts could go up the lift back to the main level to the load OR B) Maybe theme the lift as "the boathouse scene," go up the lift inside, stay on the higher level for awhile, and then drop into the sharks mouth and back to normal level. Then again, if you have another idea that you think works better, you can go with that, I'm just suggesting what I'd do. Keep up the great work, I love this park

It looked like it was loading up the new scenary and rides just fine, and right before it was finished loading up, I got a lovely trapper error, so I really don't know what could be wrong with the file. I have RCT2 with both WW and TT so that's not the problem either. Edit: after restarting my pc and trying the file again, it worked. Really well done park, I love how you did the major dark rides all big and open like that -

Major Update time! I've been busy in building the park and forgot to post updates on how it's growing, so you're going to see what I've done in 7 RCT years. Here's the peak of the "dot" with an insanely tall observation tower and freefall: Interior view of what's happening inside the mountain: Some of the coasters peek out of the mountain side: One even comes out in the middle of nowhere as the form of an active volcano: -

Forget losing Aska, we're going to lose those awsome stairs that went literally nowhere! Seriously, where else can you find something so random like that? This is one of the few things that made me laugh so much just by mentioning them and has a place in TPR history. The stairway to nowhere, you will be deeply missed. -

Kinda hard to come up with a name if there's no theme to the area, unless you want some generic name like "falcon" or whatever. If it's not going to be themed, then I don't see a reason to not use curse of anubis -

Great park! Here's a name idea: Curse (or Flight) of Anubis -
Let me set things straight with the 360, this has grown to be a big pet peeve of mine: Universal 360 is a night time show, not a "fireworks show", period. The fireworks and lasers are additional cool visuals to the show, not the show itself. I don't know if I should blame universal for marketing what appears to be a fireworks show, or blame everyone else for thinking that it's just about the fireworks. The show was well put together and people seemed to love it every time I've went (has seen it 5 times)

Stitch wasn't tone down, it was completely altered from being scary to be fun for a younger audience, although your point still stands. Well, you know what I mean, make it "less scary"/tone down, same diff. more like epcot, even though that didn't go as planned either. I loved the old school epcot before they tried to lure more people in with their thrill rides that kill, totally ruining the whole concept of the front section. The only thing they haven't screwed up is spaceship earth, and I fear that's going to go soon for some rumored "launched coaster themed to time travel". As for the rest, they add ellen and bill nye to the engery pavillion, make body wars seasonal and probably closed that off all completely now (someone know if it still exists, or will ever open back up?) horizons is long gone for a nasa death trap, world of motion is now test track where you are the dummy, imagination isn't the same anymore, just lame experients and then they try to make it better by putting figment back in, they change the land and make that better by adding soarin (haven't been recently so I don't know if this is a good or bad thing) but it replaced kitchen kaberet! and then finally living seas is all finding nemo related, say goodbye to seabase alpha. I could go on about this, but I'll stop here and go vent off elsewhere and save you guys some time reading my long unecessary rant

Trians as Scenery

Do you have a link to download SOB? -
Well, actually it's the saved game since I can't upload the scenario, but have fun with it anyways. The scenario is build 10 different coasters with excitement rating 6 or more. I'll be working on that as well and would post updates on how the park's turning out. Also another thing I need to mention, is that the park height is 185 ft meaning from 120 ft on up, you cannot alter the land, so keep that in mind as you build coasters and want to go in and out of the terrain, make the transition at or below the 120 ft mark. Have fun with it and I'd love to see what you do with the place! Yes, the park is shaped like a giant question mark: And here's the front section of the park (that cannot be removed because I think it looks "historical" or just cool looking) Mysterious Island scenario.SV6
