  5. Here's an article with some coaster details http://www.timeoutdubai.com/mobile/knowledge/news/66229-img-world-of-adventure-confirm-100km/h-rollercoaster And the full press release 12 September 2015 Dubai: For the first time in the Middle East since their extinction sixty-five million years ago, dinosaurs will roam the earth at IMG Worlds of Adventure. The installation of the sixty-nine state-of the-art dinosaurs, in its Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure zone, marks one of the final stages of completion for the world’s largest multi-brand indoor theme park. To ensure the most authentic interactive dinosaur entertainment experience, IMG Worlds of Adventure collaborated with Kokoro, the pioneering Japanese animatronics company, to produce the creatures of the Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure. Kokoro has a long history of being at the cutting edge of animatronics and robotics, creating dinosaurs for the Natural History Museum in London, as well as other prestigious collections around the world. Within the park, guests are transported to the Prehistoric era where they can track down the dinosaurs, watch them in their natural environment, and hear them roar or feast on prey. Among the biggest of the pack of sixty-nine dinosaurs spread across the vast Jurassic terrain will be the enormous Barosaurus and the ferocious Allosaurus. Taking up to 5 years to create and with the Barosaurus at over 15.5 metres high, the dinosaurs move, breathe and feel like their ancestors. To design each individual creature, Kokoro used hydraulics to replicate their unique movements, their scales have been hand-sculpted by specialist artists whilst a thin covering layer of silicone gives their skin a shiny, life-like appearance, similar to modern day living reptiles. For thrill seekers, The Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure zone also contains “The Velociraptor”, a mega launch coaster, which will propel visitors to an exhilarating 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. The coaster will have four inversions and will be the only permanently installed looping coaster in the UAE, with its biggest loop topping a whopping 105 feet high. Further attractions in the zone will be announced in the coming weeks, as excitement builds towards an early 2016 opening date for IMG Worlds of Adventure. Commenting on the arrival of the dinosaurs, Lennard Otto, General Manager of IMG Worlds of Adventure, said, “This is an incredibly exciting moment for us, having witnessed the creation of these extraordinary creatures and now seeing them in their new habitat. In addition to the dinosaurs providing sheer entertainment, we will be developing a range of interactive educational programmes, positioning IMG Worlds of Adventure as one of the leading dinosaur attractions in the world. “The arrival of the dinosaurs is also one of the final steps towards the completion of the park.” Atsuya Yamada, President of Kokoro, said, “In Japanese, Kokoro means ‘heart’ or ‘spirit’ and we really have put our passion into creating these dinosaurs. They are based on the most up-to-date scientific knowledge of what dinosaurs would have looked like and how they would have moved in their natural environment. Visitors to IMG Worlds of Adventure will be dazzled by the experience of encountering them.” The Lost Valley – Dinosaur Adventure zone is an original concept by IMG Theme Park L.L.C., owners of IMG Worlds of Adventure. It will be the largest of the four zones, whilst other zones include MARVEL and Cartoon Network, the first time the two brands have appeared alongside one another in a single venture. The fourth zone is IMG Boulevard, another original concept from IMG Theme Park L.L.C.

  14. EDIT: Dave I'm gonna add the official press release to your construction update: Here is the official press release: Ferrari World Abu Dhabi Reveals Plans for Record Breaking Roller Coaster at ATM New roller coaster will join ‘Ferrari Driving Experience’, ‘Karting Academy’ and many more exciting attractions recently added at the Ferrari branded theme park Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates: Ferrari World Abu Dhabi revealed one of its exciting upcoming attractions at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM). The new roller coaster is set to break new world records, and is considered a major addition to the unique theme park’s offering as part of the undergoing large-scale expansion. Already boasting the world’s fastest roller coaster, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is planning to become home to the world’s steepest steel rollercoaster featuring a starting hill inclined by 51 degrees and the world’s tallest loop of 52m (170ft). Named “Flying Aces”, the new roller coaster experience is inspired by Italy’s ‘ace of aces’ Count Francesco Baracca, a famous Italian aviator of the 1900’s whose legendary Prancing Horse emblem was inherited by Enzo Ferrari. The bi-plane themed coaster is expected to attract thrill seekers from around the world to its gravity-defying loops and swoops. Jesse Vargas, General Manager of Ferrari World Abu Dhabi said: “There are very few theme parks that have undertaken such a significant expansion as Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. At the Arabian Travel Market, we are giving the world just a glimpse of our continuously evolving, Ferrari-inspired entertainment offering. Flying Aces will be another one-of-a-kind ride that you can only find at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi. Its design and storyline are deeply rooted in the rich history of Ferrari.” “We are proud of what Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has achieved over the past five years, and thrilled with the great feedback we’ve been receiving from our guests on all the new experiences introduced at the Park in the past few months. I’m particularly proud of our latest attraction, the Ferrari “Driving Experience”, which has taken immersion into the exclusive world of Ferrari to a brand new height!” Vargas added. The Park’s newest “Driving Experience” gives guests the opportunity to drive a luxurious Ferrari along Yas Island and its surroundings, setting Ferrari World Abu Dhabi apart from all other theme parks. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi’s indoor electric-powered go-karts at “Karting Academy” have been attracting racing enthusiasts since its launch in November 2014. Guests have been practicing their racing skills while trying to break the lap time record - set by none other than Scuderia Ferrari’s drivers – of 36.6 seconds. Budding adventurers have also been enjoying new attractions at the Park. The recently expanded “Junior Training Camp” now includes many new challenges such as climbing and free fall jumping. Children can also pilot a GT or F1 car on the all new double-tracked “Junior GP” or navigate a remote-controlled boat around the waterways of “Bell’Italia”. In addition to all the new and enhanced Park experience, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi has introduced many themed, seasonal festivals over the past few months to further engage its versatile portfolio of visitors from around the world. These include Chinese New Year (February), Festival of Lights (October) and Winterfest (December) that have now become annual fixtures on the Park’s entertainment calendar. 18. When I sent food back they just came and collected it. Boring. Yolo works sucked. My ass was too big to fit in the seat so I sort of hovered!
  19. So. After Rogos we headed to the FEC in Yas Mall. it was a nice place with several unique rides. The roller coaster was called Yolo Works! It is a small oval track with spinning cars. It reminded me a bit of a Disko type ride. Not sure its a coaster but have a look at the pics and see wheat you think
  20. I finally got a trip to Yas mall last weekend. They have the biggest Rogos, roller coaster restaurant in the work and an FEC that says it has a roller coaster. I will let you decide if its a credit or not!. We were the 1st people in the restaurant Its a 2 storey Restaurant Heres one of the loop elements You order on iPad devices The food arrived very fast The food was dreadful. Nachos had to be sent back because there were burnt and my fish and chips tasted like it had been left in the fat overnight. It was literally dripping in fat.
  21. Give me a shout before you come and will update you.
