After the concert starts, it is a ghost town. You probably could ride every ride in the park in just a few hours. I would just recommend not staying for the laser show on a concert night.

Haha, Probably the best post on this thread in 6 months! I'm sure there will be comments about still no lights on the Ferris Wheel, still 1 train on every roller coaster. Of course, there will be several people that post on here stunned that the Skyscreamer wasn't open, even tho the last 6 pages on this thread covered it!

The ride will definitely help the curb appeal of the park at night. The light package for it is supposed to be nice, will help for the lack of lights on other tall rides at the park.

Everybody who has been wanting construction photo's since December, will finally be able to take their own, next weekend! Whoop.

Those type of comments were why i sought out TPR. In hindsight, I feel the woman was just mentally ill, or just trolling...

No, because Tantrum had its own page similar to what SkyScreamer has now. Since the website will probably be switched over sometime in May, they probably aren't going to bother editing the current site much more. Twister is still listed as a ride too. The only thing they currently care about, is keeping the season pass page up to date, because that is the only thing that generates money right now.

Anybody want to go back and count how many times somebody asked "why isn't the website/app updated?" Since the 2018 season ended? This thread wouldn't be constantly made fun of, if people just stopped doing that.

At this point, I would say it will be added the morning of May 4th. Maybe a couple of days before if were lucky.

Thanks for your informative post. I feel like people have mentioned the skyscreamer at SFA previously here as an example. But the frequent posters on this board still are acting surprised that the ride isnt done yet.....

During the social media age, they only had a good team running it in 2010 and 2011. That was back when the park did a major water park expansion. Other than that, they do very little from November-April. People have previously mentioned Skyscreamer will only take a couple of weeks to build. As well as previous parks who had this ride, didn't have it built until June. We really need to lower our expectations of what the park will do for their fans in the offseason. People were already getting desperate for the website to switch over only a couple weeks after the 2018 season ended.

I suppose setting my house on fire in protest, will have to wait for another day.

^ This is your home park right? You have watched what they have done over the last 19 years? They have added 2 Roller coasters with about 10 years in between. I will always say a flat ride or water slide is more likely then a new roller coaster.

Allegedly that had been the plan back in the day to install it in the old Cinema 2000 building, but it was too big to fit. The should do this with the Sleigh Ride. Most of the structure is already built. They would just need to make walls for it.

It may have been me. I just dont expect much out of Darien Lake's PR department between November and March. I feel they announce shows and any small changes in the weeks leading up to the new season. Gives them a reason to generate "buzz" before the season starts.

With how off the rails this thread has gone I can't tell if you're joking or not. But it was actually originally built "themed" to Orange County Choppers, a show that was on Discovery channel. They gave away one chopper I think and had another on display when it first opened. Then the theming was removed a couple of a years after. Lol, yeah, i was hoping by picking such a ridiculous movie , the joke would have translated well through text only, but yes, i know its based on Orange county choppers. We can only hope with 2 months till opening day, this thread will get even worse.

Well the last 3 pages of posts have been quite informative. We discussed how Google Maps really works, and whether or not "The Mask" should have a roller coaster named after it. Now the real question. Was Motocoaster built in honor of the 2007 Box Office smash hit, Andy Sandberg's "Hot Rod"?

The google maps satelite photo of my house is probably 3 years old. I dont think they update that frequently. Cedar point still shows steel vengence under construction.

Wow, this is good stuff to know. It sounds like a lot more parks have amphitheater's next to them then I realized. And the ones that are big enough seem to be used for concerts, like Hershey and Coney island. I know Dallas, TX has an outdoor amphitheater next to their fair grounds, I believe it is called Dos Equis Pavilion.
