Yeah we’re still going. It’s semi her bday celebration, and can still do other rides that are fun I guess. We’ll make the call once we get here as we will buy the 30% off passes through BCAA on our phone. I figure with the weather possibly being overcast and drizzly that it may be a lower crowd day. Excited to check out the return of the nightly pyro/dance show.

I emailed in, sounds like they don’t know yet if Coaster will be open Saturday. Which comes across to me as a no. It’s also marked on site as closed, as is The Beast... so they just be prepping for it to be down.

I also noticed a new Harvestland Festival link on the PNE site. I really hope Coaster is open Saturday... we are going to the PNE that day with friends and they insist we do rides. We normally skip ride passes during PNE time... and also unsure how weather will be.

But in better news, the Aurora Winter Festival is moving from its first year at Concord Place to Hastings Park this winter, promising a bigger venue, and 6 rides this year, in addition to the tube park, and skating. https://www.pne.ca/event/aurora-winter-festival/

Have you noticed that the flags that used to top Hellevator and AtmosFEAR have been missing in action? Wonder why they removed them.

I’m hearing many say the finale is in a b-mode of sorts, and more is coming. Ride has been closed all day today.

Did we watch the same video!??!? The indoor tank section is like a lesser immersive version than Orlando's Kong or Supercharged and those rides are already underwhelming. And the main indoor section was just a mess. No real story or anything and just random stuff everywhere with a bad looking new dinosaur animatronic at the end. I would honestly question anyone's "opinion" who would rather have a bunch of TV screens and water sprays than a practical set with real animatronics. "Awesome" or "incredible" are absoultely not words I would imagine many people using to describe this re-do.... I’m sorry. I think it looks great. This is probably the first time I’ve been on the opposite end of the opinion spectrum from you haha. But that’s okay. I totally see your side of it.

I think it looks really awesome. And the new indoor tank section actually works well. Finally fixed those terrible sight lines. And wow. The main indoor portion is incredible.

All the exits do indeed connect to a large hallway and all funnel out the broken vent.

So there are 4 carousels, each holding (I believe) 7 simulators. There are two Millenium Falcon holding areas, each leads to two of these carousels. The carousels slowly rotate throughout the ride experience, eventually connecting to the exit dock and then to the load dock.

I assume no Wave swinger still?

I’m shocked at how bad Saturday was! Some big ticket rides downs and the new one still... Also that line was for the sold out Billy Eilish concert.

I mean. I’m kind of interested in TLC... but I meant more the exhibits this year. Nothing really screams to me. I loved the Game of Thrones, and Genghis Khan exhibits. But these are a bit meh.

Not gonna lie. The PNE lineup leaves me a bit cold. The exhibits this year aren’t all that interesting... don’t know if I’ll attend this year.

I also found it odd that they had it open Saturday then water dummy testing Sunday? Maybe issues came up?
