Just a friendly reminder that the park is owned by Six Flags. Great Adventure's ferris wheel is now so ugly at night that (instead of putting LED lights on it or... you know... replacing bulbs), they've just decided to stop lighting at all due to it's overwhelming ugliness. I'm pretty sure there's not a single ferris wheel in the chain with a modern lighting package aside from Frontier City which had one when they bought it. The park is owned by Six Fags, not Disney. Please put the crackpipe down. Six Flags will never spend money on anything unless it's absolutely essential for safety or they believe that it will directly generate revenue. Making a ferris wheel look pretty will not do that and therefore they don't care and will never care. This partnership is a good thing for Darien Lake, but please (for a second) try to have semi-reasonable expectations. You'll get marketable new additions (like the new Starflyer) but you're not going to get much in the way of general improvements. Any general improvements that you get will probably be accompanied by some type of IP re-branding to try to push merchandise sales or market something old as something new (which everyone in this thread will probably bitch about). Oh i know... but one can hope. Back in the day they did paint Viper....

I heard Twister is out as well. I wonder if theyd have to re-work the area due to the swing radius though. Probably cant have anything directly underneath them, like the General Store.

I imagine makes the shift scheduling for ride ops simpler. 11-7 is 8 hours. Also a number of rides have to finish operation before the laser show so riders aren't getting beamed by it. AFAIK running 2 trains on Viper was pretty likely. Blue train was just about ready to rock at opening. Guess they didn't hit whatever numbers they wanted to see to actually put both on. Any word on a second train showing up for ROS?

Cant remember if it was noted here before but I noticed Viper's blue train (intact) under the station.

It hasn't even been open a full season and they have already lost a train to being a part donor?? Holy crap. Wow. I would say I'm shocked... But It's Darien Lake so yeah. That is entirely his own (idiotic) speculation. The chances of Tantrum needing that many parts is slim. They most likely took it off the track because theyre not going to ever use 3 trains at once.
