  1. As of 2014... Source. I've thought cedar point would've been the most visited park.. not CW
  2. Is kd the one of the least visited cedar fair park? If not then can someone post a list of the most and least visited cedar parks?
  3. I'm pretty sure you'd get tired riding the same crap for six to seven years after a major ride was build.
  4. I thought that was debunked as not being anything of significance. Idk I hadn't visited the park in a while anyway
  5. spoiled much, can't wait till 2017? yup me too. i still need to make a road trip to knoebels next year anyway. Might aim for hershey and kennywood while i am at it. Are they going to do anything like fix the rest of wilde beast, or fix the minebuster which is going from YORO (you only ride once) to DERO (don't even ride once) just like the leafs, Ya gotta believe ... With three off years in a row in regards to significant additions I might just take the year off from Wonderland next year. - Guardian.....shootem up ride with outdated graphics and is already seemingly falling apart - This year we got a used Water Slide and a used splash pad complex. -Next year we get a flat ride almost every other park has and another flat which will probably good fun but won't be worth the inevitable 1 and half to 2 hour wait. -our 2017 coaster will probably get "stolen" by Kings Island or Kings Dominion and if it isn'nt I am sure an extra years wait will not be worth it for a Wingrider lol The best addition we have received since Leviathan was an upcharge ride in Slingshot. KD stealing.... your coaster!? KD is going on 7 seasons without a coaster and you're going on 5 (technically 2, if you count WMG). And now you complain about a unique and awesome looking flat ride? Come on, stop being spoiled, you got Leviathan relatively recently. If anything next year, you guys would be stealing KD's coaster. Yeah, If anything we need the 2017 coaster badly. In 2010 we got i305, 2012 CW got leviathan and 2014 got wonder mountain in 2014 KI got banshee and in 2015 carowinds got fury.
  6. i wonder if carowinds is gonna suffer the coaster drought like we did with intimidator
  7. On Facebook it seems the Gp is mad about this new attraction and saying it copied King's island
  8. I'm kinda skeptical about us getting a new coaster in 2017... Ive been on CW part of the site and all over the internet and they been complaining and been saying something about getting a launched wing rider called ziz.. then there's KI feeling left out and wanting a giga coaster in 2017 or 2018. I'm really excited about this new flat ride though.
  9. Yeah I don't go out of state that much so of course I wouldn't know lol. Also I never once visited the go karts either.
  10. Has anyone ever heard of a park having 2 up-charged attractions though?
  11. I'm seriously gonna die of laughter if we get another up-charge attraction
  12. Tbh that's kinda stupid. We already have xtreme skyflyer and now we have to pay for another Ride some people won't get on
  13. I don't see a lot of people on the crypt... the looks are probably deceiving but the ride sure does wear you out
  14. Canada wonderland got a giga 2 years after kd and next year they're supposed to get something big. Either cedar fair is playing favorites or they just don't care about their parks. Or CW gets more guest then any seasonal park in the chain and KD is in the middle of the pack with Carowinds, GCA, and Dorney. Both of you provide valid points; while KD is far from the largest in the chain, 6+ years between coasters, even after Intimidator 305, is quite a distance for a park of its size. Since a four-or-five year interval is typical for Cedar Fair parks of its size, we would have expected a coaster in '14 or this year. However, since it's a slim possibility that a coaster is happening in 2016, it does lead to some questions regarding CF's treatment of the park. Cedar Fair considers their parks to be divided into three "tiers" based upon attendance: Tier I (3M+ annual visitors): KBF, C.W., CP, KI Tier II (1.5M-3M annual visitors): CW, KD, DPWWK, CGA Tier III (Under 1.5M annual visitors): VF, WoF, MA In order of attendance from most to least (Disclaimer: coasters of any size, coaster conversions, and relocations count as a new credit with most credit counters, so therefore they count as a new addition. If you say I'm unfair, I'd easily count Dominator as "newest coaster addition" if not for I305.): 1. Knott's Berry Farm - newest coaster addition 2013 (Coast Rider) 2. Canada's Wonderland - newest coaster addition 2014 (Wonder Mountain's Guardian) (Triotechs with coaster track count ) 3. Cedar Point - newest coaster addition 2016 (Valravn)* or 2015 (Rougarou) 4. Kings Island - newest coaster addition 2014 (Banshee) 5. Carowinds** - newest coaster addition 2015 (Fury 325) 6. Kings Dominion - newest coaster addition 2010 (Intimidator 305) 7. Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom - newest coaster addition 2012 (Stinger) 8. California's Great America** - newest coaster addition 2016 (Vortex Conversion)* or 2013 (Gold Striker) 9. Valleyfair** - newest coaster addition 2011 (Cosmic Coaster) 10. Worlds of Fun - newest coaster addition 2009 (Prowler) 11. Michigan's Adventure - newest coaster addition 2008 (Thunderhawk) *Denotes an unconfirmed but heavily rumored addition **Denotes a park specifically targeted for growth potential by Cedar Fair One park in Tier II sticks out like a sore thumb (and no, it's not Dorney, sorry to disappoint the satirists). Imo they shouldn't add a new ride because of how much attendants they get a year. The rides should be able to attract the attendants. for example look at carowinds, they got fury 325 and before they got it people didn't know about the damn park. and lets say valleyfair got a 350ft tall b&m giga, a stratacoaster as tall as top thrill dragster, and a huge rmc hybrid, we all know that would attract a lot of people and the amount of attendance would go up a lot. No wonder why valleyfair, Michigan adventure, and worlds of fun have are at the low tier, its because cedar fair doesn't wanna experiment each park. They do have potential, its just cedar fair is playing favorites.

  16. People most be taking the demise of shockwave really bad because they haven't even taken it off from the website yet
  17. I know you guys are tired of all this speculation but I've stumbled across this website about the replacement of shockwave and other future attractions. We can't for sure tell if its true or not but here. http://themeparksandtravels.com/2015/07/29/kings-dominion-update-and-the-latest-rumors-could-kings-dominion-be-clearing-land-behind-i-305/
  18. I only blackout on backlot if I only ride the first row. That helix can sometimes be powerful.
  19. Yeah, well considering that I'm about 5'5 on those little airtime hills the damn ride kept forcefully making me jump off my seat and almost causing me to fly off the thing and kill myself. The thing is a biohazard for short people. Won't be missing it.
