  1. Valleyfair just today removed the 2015 announcement from their what's new page. Just a sign showing what's to come tomorrow. Sorry, but there's no chance we get a coaster
  2. I know this probably wouldn't happen, and because the Excalibur permit hasn't been accepted, I wonder if the delay is because VF and CF are thinking of putting the dark ride (in amphitheater spot). Even though CF did say no triotech dark rides this year, I would give that option a 5% chance, a coaster 5%chance (Falcon) and 90% a Flyers and frisbee combo.
  3. Final Thoughts I am still going with the frisbee in part of the new amphitheater space, and the flyers either in midway stage, next to frisbee, or somewhere else. Mad Mouse Mad Mouse has been shut down for the rest of 2015. Dollar Days I am told that more than the listed games may be $1. Valleyfair needs to get rid of virtually all of its prizes because it doesn't have the games staff to run many during Sep/Oct. Coasting into 2017 I personally believe VF is 1 of 2 CF locations to receive a coaster in 2017. Most of the bigger paramount parks have received coasters in the past 5 years, and I am told CF will give each "small park" a coaster by 2019. Humorously, I was told that MA's GM and her husband absolutely crave Zamperla diskos and Larson Loops, both able to be called coasters. That's it! I'm pumped! 4. Observations - Valleyfair will have an all season soda cup next year (Orange) with free refills all season (not 99 cents). This is $25. SOURCE: Valleyfair Online Season Pass Checkout - Valleyfair may institute snacks in their dining plans next year. Small stickers were seen on several Dipping Dots stands throughout the week, stating Dining Plan Snack. - Valleyfair is having some sort of Haunt food festival. There is a sign outside Enterprise with more detailing. I believe it is called Fright Feast. - Valleyfair's games department supervisors said to me that there could possibly be even more dollar day games open, as Valleyfair has to get rid of a lot of prizes before season's end. - The 2016 announcement will come in the morning and will NOT be at coaster camp out sources tell me. The announcement may just be online. Miller Insider @millerinsider MN Screamcape Correspondent
  5. If Flyers, Expect More My sources tell me that if Valleyfair is to revive Larson flying scooters, they will be accompanied with either a Planet Snoopy expansion, a Soak Cory expansion (likely one funnel slide), or most likely, an additional thrilling flat ride. This thrilling flat ride is rumored to be either a frisbee (rumor is that CF bought 2 and got a deal), or a star flyer. Some have said that Vf would get the new ride that CW got, but my sources have said that this is just a test ride, as CW is CF's test ground. 6. Insider Notice Told by Dave Frazier, to MillerInsider (myself), Excalibur and Thunder Canyon will close for the season on Sunday, September 13th, during coaster camp out and dollar days. If Valleyfair opts to go with Excaliburs removal, which seems doubtful, Excalibur could have as few as 6 days left. 5 Days Till Announcement More News to Come throughout the week Miller Insider Valleyfair Insider Minnesota Screamscape Correspondent
  7. It definitely would be great to get a flat ride package. It sounds like this would have to come in sepeate years though because CF would not buy both a frisbee and starflyer, when they both cost lots, and a new coaster is also in our near future
  8. I would think flyers too but it's funny to see the amazing things that the Six Flags parks got this year.
  9. Um, I'm here to but some of the lines like Excalibur are definitely not an hour, but are still to the end of the queue, same as corkscrew. You're way over estimating the lines.
  10. Uh, no there rigged. Also, the arcade repair man said that the arcade will be used as a bar for haunt.
  11. the three dollar day games are all rigged. bummer - ring toss - barnyard basketball - milk jug by vault
  12. Official 2016 Michigan's Adventure Prediction My prediction is that MA gets Knott's used S&S Screaming Swing. I think they will get this because it is still a relatively new ride and MA badly needs a thrill ride. Even though it only has 40 capacity, I think it will be good at MA.
  13. My Official 2016 Valleyfair Prediction: - Flying Scooters in former Scrambler Location - If not in Scrambler location, then in... - Wild Thing Grass - Planet Snoopy - remove snoopys junction Why no removal of Excalibur? Every other CF park removing a roller coaster has made a big deal out of it. It looks to me that Excalibur will be staying at least through most of 2016. Coaster Update Does Valleyfair actually still get a B&M Invert? We all know that KI installed banshee and it was huge and great, but is it really reasonable for an older coaster to come to a park that rarely gets new coasters? Personally, I would expect seeing a wing coaster before an invert, but an invert would still be likely and liked by many people. Updated 5-Year Plan 2016: Flying Scooters and General Improvements- Removal of Excalibur-June 2016 2017: B&M Roller Coaster - Removal of Dinosaurs Alive 2018: Soak City Expansion- Funnel Slide, Tube Slides, Matt Racer, Looping Starship Moved up to Front of park 2019/2020: Off-Year/Triotech Dark Ride please say your '16 predictions below. thanks! 2019:
  14. Does anyone think Excalibur would be better and less jerky if it had the same trains as Rock Bottom Plunge at Nickelodeon Universe, had some theming and :30 longer of a ride? Not saying this would happen, just want to hear opinions. Also, I am very surprised that ACES is a 35 yr old. He sounds 19, saying, "I don't have to lead my shift at T-Mobile today, just go by myself and ride the same rides every Monday, yea!"
  15. Business: From now until Labor Day, Thursday's-Sunday's should be avoided. This includes the newly improved Soak City. If possible get there for early ride times. After that, go to the back of the park for Renegade and Mad Mouse. High Roller has best times at night. Wild Thing will have best times at night as well. Route 76 is beautiful at night. And the All Day Dining Plan is a great deal if you plan on staying from open to close. Anybody else have anything to chime in on?
  16. If they were smart they would compile a video like Six Flags does every year.
  17. I'm not going to Terminator tonight, since that relates to Valleyfair.
  18. CGA is getting their stand up coaster, Vortex to be made floor less. I think a new slide tower would include tube slides, a funnel slide, a mat racer, and a huge kids play area (not splash pad) that would replace the old one.
  19. Friday's in July from 11:45-5:45 are as bad as Saturday's but after and before that you should get automatic rides.
  20. My dad lost his glasses on Wheel of Fortune. That is one of the rides where the most stuff is lost because the wheel goes up it leaves a huge space for loose items to fall.
  21. For Gold/Platinum Season Pass Holders at 9:30. SuperCat, RipTide, Extreme Swing, Power Tower, and Wild Thing.
  22. I would think so. It's a hassle to put on trains so I think all 3 would be on.
  23. I could see RipTide on its way out, but there's not much that you can put in that small of a space. Maybe flying scooters??
  24. Wind seeker is one of the few rides where height is EXTREMELY important. It would be better not to have it then have it be a big investment and no good. I find it funny that on its website MA lists its swing ride as a "thrill ride", when this is in most parks Planet Snoopy.
  25. Not to take this thread too off topic but I'm kind of curious what proof you have that Valley Fair is going to receive an invert in the next two years considering all signs point to water park expansion? And to get back to Michigan's Adventure I'd argue in a lot of ways it's better than Valley Fair, especially in the wooden roller coaster and water park areas, but to get to your point about what the park needs I would say the parks management from when I've talked to them had been pretty content with the size of their current children's area especially since they already struggle to have enough ride operators as is. A drop tower has been brought up by cedar fair but the parks current gm and her husband the head of maintenance both do not like them, so I'd say that's not going to happen in the near future either. More dining, a new water slide complex, a roller coaster, or even the 200 foot wind seeker the park previously ordered but cancelled are all posibilities for next year. However don't expect a Halloween event or even fireworks until the township decides to ease up its heavy restrictions on the park, and also the park has concerns about whether they would be able to even fully staff the park for a Halloween event since most college kids would be back in school during that time period. VF just received a Water Park expansion in 2015, featuring slides MA doesn't have. Valleyfairs premier wooden is a new 2008 GCI, which is much different than Shivering Timbers, a more standard wooden, but it is still good. MA is clearly the worst and most neglected CF park, but it still has some charm in its own way. Personally, as a VF enthusiast, if the park would have gotten an invert in 2010, and the park did not receive little things like Planet Snoopy, Dino's, Route 76, and 2 Soak City Expansions, the park would have been much worse. If Michigans Adventure was revamped to make it have what all of the other CF Parks have, that would be a better expansion than one hyper coaster that's too nice for the park its in.
