  1. ^ it would be great if the fall announcement is that their giving Hurler the iron horse treatment.100% not gonna happen, but it would be sweet.
  2. ^ if your wife truly is a Vol, you know that not to be true.
  3. soccer is for nancy girls, coasters are for men. anyone who play's soccer should try a man's sport and play American Football. GO VOLS!
  4. ^ that sounds all well and good, but i recently took a trip to Carowinds, and that park is extremely close to the charlotte airport. they just built a 325ft tall machine of happiness, and no one at that airport isn't complaining. pilots and politicians should not be the authority of amusement park law. if they are flying that low " unless directly lined up with a runway " there would already be a major problem in the first place, the surrounding area should play no part in a properly functioning airport. airports exist in cities where the on property hotels are taller than any coaster ever built, " so i don't wanna hear that nonsense "!
  5. ^ i hope so, i really like what their doing so far," don't want them to be burdened by lack of land". i'm about 90% sure this is the park i'm gonna visit next year. not a big coaster count, but for some reason Lightnig Run has truly intrigued me. " throw in the inverting RMC, that's all i need to book a trip."
  6. does KK have lot's of space for future expansion? i'm just curious as i have never seen it in person. might get up there next year though.
  7. ^ i just returned from my first trip to carowinds as well. i also found Afterburn to be very forceful, even in the front row. it was my first b&m invert, and alot of folks on here say it's one of the best, i loved it. as for Fury, words cannot described the blessing that beautiful machine has brought to our sacred nation, " it felt as if i was being nestled in the hands of the good lord Jesus himself ". got in 28 rides on it while i was there. " front row, absolute heaven ! "
  8. ^ i guess i was wrong. i would have bet money on it though.
  9. ^ i wish i could afford more than 5 days! i have never been to carowinds, and as a fan of rides i want to be able to ride everything multiple times, to really feel the nooks and crannies of each coaster. also a large part of each day will be spent riding stuff with my son, he is only 3yo and already at the 44 inch mark, he gets to ride things most children his age don't get a chance to. " and he loves it! seeing the feeling of pure joy on his face is something precious and priceless to a parent. " so we have to alot enough time to make it all happen, i can't just go for 2 days and have his fun take a backseat to mine, that would just be terrible parenting. " he already gets mad that he can't ride the roller coasters with the loopty loops ( as he puts it ) on our weekly trips to dollywood." i will make sure that boy gets to ride the new things he gets to experience as much as he wants, " because that's what a good dad does." anyway, that's why we're going for 5 days, i guess i'll just buy the extra pass for him. " but earlier this year, carowinds' website did say children under 4 were free, i know i didn't misread that when i first started planning".
  10. How many days were you trying to go? How many people? What days? I'll see what I can find in terms of discounts. 5 days, 2 adults and one 3yo, August 16th through the following Thursday.
  11. I meant to say under 4, not 4 and under as i did. According to their website under 4 doesn't apply anymore.
  12. can someone tell if i'm seeing things or not? i began to save for a carowinds trip a few months ago. so i priced season passes, " because it is a multi-day trip, it's the best option" but now a few months later, i go back to buy them, and the price has increased . how do you raise prices late in the season " for season passes! ". that's not what has even p!$$ed me off the most. before when budgeted this trip, the website clearly said children 4 and under are free. my 3yo son apparently now will have a more expensive multi-day ticket price then us adults, as i do not see a junior price on season passes. because of this, me and my family will most likely not be going to carowinds. a silver dollar city trip is sounding mighty nice at this point.
  13. how do you change the donkey phrase under your avatar? i'm not very computer savy, but have a clean donkey phrase i'd prefer to be there.
  14. go for more than one day and just buy a season pass, 80 bucks! not expensive as far as theme park tickets go.
  15. hey guys, i am planning a 4 day trip to carowinds " my first " the third week of august, i noticed on their calendar that it is the one week they close the park at 6pm. i assume it is because schools start back. so im hoping for walk on rides all day, every day. going monday through thursday. "the week can't be changed due to work. " so, could some Carowinds regulars please give me an idea what it's normally like that week?
