Drove by the park today, and they have gone vertical on building the banked turn. Idk maybe they will be done by Summer?

I visited on Sunday, it wasn’t busy. Rode by the Prowler at 7, Maybe 5 people in front of you to get on. I expect next Sunday to be a little busier, but nothing like a Saturday visit

WOF Winterfest

I’ve been to winterfest. As far as adult stuff, I’m not sure but It’s really pretty in the park. I enjoyed just walking around. We didn’t watch any shows this time around, but will next time. There is definitely enough for kids. Cookie decorating, visiting Santa Claus and other Cast. Santa has his own building that you wind through as you wait to see him. I was impressed for it being the first year. The only negative would be when riding the train there is nothing to look At in the shanty town around the turn around. Other than that WOF did a great job. You can even get baileys/ peppermint schnapps in your hot Chocolate. They also had 4 fire pits and propane heaters with chairs down by Auntie Anne’s

My source* told me today at the park, that Worlds of fun is Getting their own version of Peanuts pirates at Carowinds And not Carowinds ride. So it will actually be new and be like Carowinds And not the Slow zamperla version

This made me think of awhile back I had counted the stud spacing on the opening of the drop If the studs are 16 inches apart then the opening would be About 7 feet 4 inches wide. If they went with 24 inch spacing then it would be 11 feet Wide. I'm just hoping it's not a spinner

They fired GM Frank Wilburn last year because he was told to fire someone in maintenance and he didn't. I won't name my sources. Irony?

So i read that Cedar Fair is adding 4 new coasters to its parks for 2018. One of them is obviously RMC Mean Streak and another woodie Getting the RMC treatment as well. Also an all new coaster design is coming. I also read a rumor that Kanonen at Lisberg was bought by an American Park.

I saw them inside the park by the train depot. I just glanced down, and saw blue sketching that looked like hedges Or something like that on a wof map blueprint. Probably did have to do with winterfest.

Agreed. Based on everything I have seen and read about so far I am thinking (hoping) it is gonna be similar to Mack's Helix or Lost Gravity coasters. Perhaps a combination of both. Since you mentioned Macks Helix, the station design totally makes sense. A medium drop out of the station like Helix and a huge launch mid ride to give it enough to Get back up to the top floor of the station. The rest of the station being theming... Gold mine or whatever Souvenir shop also in it. I don't know anything, just throwing out ideas.

Anyone know if they GCI retracked the helix of Timberwolf? I asked PR but they were busy with the front gate, and weren't sure.

I went to Haunt for the first time on Saturday night. My overall impression is it's good, but definitely would be worth a fright lane pass. My friends were all busy so I went by myself and was able to tag along With people I had met standing in front of me. 3 of them were former screamsters from the previous year. Without them I don't think I would have found Lore of the vampire, which in my opinion was the best house. London terror was neat and so was blood on the bayou, but lore of the vampire was the longest that I went through. Some of the haunts had people sitting, and i get that because it was hot. Lore of the vampire was like an oven at 1230 am. The wait for asylum was crazy. We didn't get to see that. I don't know how much it will change, I know they have to drop "Mental" due to sensitivity. I had never seen the park that busy ever. I got there at 8pm and parked in lot G maybe? We also got to jump the line at cornstalkers because one of the girls knew everyone working it. Overall my experience would have been better if I had bought a fright lane pass. I did ride Prowler at night and it was one of the best rides I've ever experienced.

Also with the continuation of timberwolf work, 2017 should be a great year

I'm wondering if the condor is 2nd generation. Winter fest could be neat, it might actually get my wife to the park

I hope the announcement isn't " worlds of fun home to the most tower rides in Missouri". Kind of how sfstl was lame by saying coaster capital of Missouri
