This years Winterfest, the Ice rink will be in the moat/lake of Rip Cord. A nice big open area. The park was beautiful today

I would guess Super Busy!!! Last weekend for it. Although you might get lucky if it’s cooler temps. Heck I actually saw Boomerang with full trains last weekend in the dry park.

I’m aware of that, and it’s Six Flags too. These companies act like they can’t scratch the back of the little guy. Maybe I’m gonna sound like a socialist, but what about profit sharing? Great companies don’t let their other parks sink or swim. I think it’s funny Cedar Fair said on their conference call that their was a 6 percent loss on revenue, But what about that HUGE corporate tax cut the president gave out. Where did that money go?!? There is no way that was figured into their profit and why would it. Just my opinion

^Nice!!! Well at least the big parks have incentive to purchase season passes with their Gigas and or new coaster every couple years. Like I said Best of luck to the small parks tomorrow. You can’t expect a rise in attendance if you don’t add the big stuff every 10 years or so

I think I know what the fast lane surprise is thanks to Wof Facebook. They are saying to check back tomorrow to find out how to win a Fast lane pass for a year When buying season passes. Then it also says a few other surprises for Wof which probably means Trash cans and restaurants. I’m guessing this is a new promotion for the small parks. I asked someone a few weeks ago what Wof was getting for 2019 and they answered sharply “ Nothing”. We always get something though right? The fact that he answered immediately made me think there is something. However then he went on to tell me that they are replacing the asphalt throughout the park with concrete Like they have at the front gate. We both agreed that it would be sad not to smell the hot asphalt as that is kind of a staple Of any amusement park. Question is how many other amusement parks in the Chain have concrete throughout? It also made me wonder with the immediate landscaping upgrades and supposedly new concrete if they are eventually expecting huge crowds in the future. Of course we would need a new big ride or two. What’s the cost concrete vs. asphault and longevity? The concrete would obviously be done in multiple years.

Scrolling through WOF comments and someone asked when do next years season passes Go on sale? WOF replies August 16. Which is national roller coaster day. Hmmm I’m not getting my hopes up, but it seems kind of a funny day to pick, but maybe that is franchise wide

Did a wheel really fall off on Prowler the other day?!? That’s what I read on Screamscape and there was a photo to go along with it. Haven’t seen anything on the news or heard anything else. That may be why some ppl reported a rough ride with one train, and a good ride with the other. Also anyone know when Cedar Fair does announcements for 2019? I think last year was on National Rollercoaster Day

If they waste this big open plot of land on a haunt structure, well that’s just sad. I love haunt but I think it would be a huge eyesore for a building in that spot. I did talk to someone at Crypticon and it seems they are definitely adding more to haunt next year. It’s just pretty sad that it serves only as a seasonal attraction. They could make a funhouse if they wanted

The fact that WOF was busy and Oceans wasn’t is surprising. I’m glad that WOF got some patrons on a cooler day. Too often Oceans is packed and Wof is dead during the summer ,and it really needs to shift back in favor of WOF. Kansas City is known lately for having some of the most expensive water bills in the country due to the city’s neglect of replacing water and sewer lines. If WOF isn’t adding a new coaster next year, I would hope for an indoor climate controlled dark ride. A water coaster would do wonders too. Let us pray for a launch though

I got one ride in on Timberwolf today. I’m not sure why it seemed so much better than last time I rode. I’m not talking about the overbanked turn either. I had at least 3 airtime out of the seat moments, which is impressive, last time I rode I had zero. I barely fit in the seat weighing 230 at 5 “10. I sat down and had to wedge myself in, but still had out of my seat airtime. Hoping they can finish the rest of it next year. It really did feel reborn, but I also had my expectations very low. So it was nice to be surprised. The pacing is almost perfect now, I sat second train from the back

Since I don't know what "loosely confirmed" means and it's a complete oxymoron, then sure. It's true. He means loosely as in you better not have loose pockets on this new-for-2019 roller coaster coming to Worlds of Fun. Haha Larson loopers are reserved for six flags. I would rather go another 5 years without a coaster Than settle for one of those. JMO

I’ve seen trolling on YouTube about B&M track in Oceans parking lot. Guy on there saying it’s Blue track and it is supposed to go over and under the new entrance. Going under the new entrance?! Yeah okay.

Getting closer

There is actually very little for kids at Schlitterbahn KC already. (5 and under) Oceans has always done very well, even with Schlitterbahn in operation. I’m hoping for a Coaster for 2019, since there were “ rumblings or murmurs” about 2019 on twitter from the park. Who knows though, they have a new PR person every other year. I think a water coaster would do really well in the summer. Wof side is light when it’s 90 or hotter
