Honestly. I've talked to supervisors at rides I've worked at about this and one has said that Congo falls will be on its way out in one to two years and they're going to put in a giga in its place along with a new entrance. Personally I can't see another coaster going in near banshee and action Zone. But time will tell. And for those who don't believe my sources (workers) I was told by a supervisor from train in June that we where getting watersides. And it turned out to be true. ...

Congo Falls and White Water Canyon (whos exit is a haunt) are closed for Haunt. Race for your life Charlie Brown (where i work), stays open with Planet Snoopy, but depending on if Management decides to keep us open during Haunt hours, the ride closes at 5 PM.

Slide complex. From what I've been told. Apparently the construction has already started. Trust me my sources are good and you will all be find in out after the announcement.

I honestly think carowinds only removed it because they needed more room to expand there waterpark.

I find it a little bit funny how the Kings Island Twitter, and instagram pages used Racer in their pctures, while Don Helbigs Tweet used Firehawk........... Maybe they're renaming Coney Mall and X-Base and making them one? After all they did take down the Coney Mall Sign.

I'm still betting on the info I heard in July , which was a water park expansion. OR, maybe they're bringing back the blue side racer facing forwards and the red side facing backwards. I don't see anything going into the action theater because they have had all the urgent scare props and stuff In the same spot all year. But maybe a new flat coming to Flight Commanders spot.

I couldn't get any pics as I'm not allowed to have my phone at work. But as I was walking in this morning, I noticed something over by the maintenance shop. Looks like FOF is ome trained. The other train looked to be gutted. I do know a week or two ago, FOF was closed for several days because there was a weight problem with one of the trains. Also, doesn't carp winds run one train operations when school year starts? A fellow associates just came back from a carlwinds, kings dominion trip and said that carowinds was running one train on everything except Fury, and that everything was walk ons.

I honestly think cedar fair is taking notes with kings island. How they have the separate entrance with their waterpark. I think in the near future we will probably see separate entrances at all of the parks. CRpwinds and valley fair this year. Hopefully.

KI maybe for 2016?? still surprised to see splash pads instead of slides. Looks like a new entrance and parking lot.

^Truly an RMC at KI would be interesting, but In my opinion, i think maybe Cedar Fair might try having RMC do something to an existing wood coaster first. (AKA MEAN STREAK). But who knows whats in the works for all these cedar fair parks. From water park expansions (Cough) to new coasters to dark rides in the future. ^^ We probably wont see Vortex gone until either A) part prices get extremely high or B) It turns into a non-fun ride. I try to ride it every time I go, and its always near the front, and it seems smooth/ But back can give you a slow painful death.

Looks like we know two new haunts for this year! Club blood will be gone. Blackout may go in its spot. The building has been painted blackish. New maze Goodbye strippers lol.

I've worked with kate at linus launcher a couple days ago and we had a long chat about her fav coasters. I know shes trying to go to Tucky Kingdom, shes worked all over KI and she is by far a great employee! Also, a little thought of mine that my friends said would sound pretty cool. If KI was to get a giga coaster, and it be something like Fury, i think a station could go where Congo Falls is. (Talked to a soup about this to, he's heard from full timers this might happen?) lift goes out behind timberwolf, (my idea) goes out over that road leading to Great wolf, (I think they could take it out and build a bridge and have the train go under the bridge (ala Fury 325)) back around to the front gate, under front gate, make a turn , head back to Congo. this is purely a speculation. Although next year might be a little wet cough cough. also heard construction has already started to!

Honestly IMO if you really want to ride everything, head to FOF and Firehawk first, but since you guys will have Fastlane plus I couldnt tell you. Id wait for Banshee until about mid day, but start by FOF and Firehawk and ride rides back there. Seat suggestion for Banshee: Back row on the sides. I would eat at Skyline in the front, or The taco shack. All always have warm food. Reds Hall of Fame is cool, but ive heard from multiple guests while ive been working that the food was cold and service was sloppy. All in all Depending on weather, the park could be packed, or dead. Enjoy your trip and there are discounts on tshirts/shot glasses/ drinkware around the park to! Enjoy your day though. IMO: RIde Banshee and Beast one time during the day and try to ride them both at Night. Banshee gives great night rides, better than beast IMO. but they do shut the line down at 9:45 for fireworks, so if your looking for a night ride, get in line before that time . I also just rad that Vekoma are making new Flying Dutchman trains. (Firehawk). Maybe a possibility that kings island could buy two of them for Firehawk? r maybe im just an idiot.

If it's a hot day, most people will be in the waterpark in the morning. We were just there three weeks ago Friday, and it wasn't crowded at all. . and it was a hot day. Follow the suggestions, and go to Volcano first. we did Volcano, Avalanche, Intimidator, Flight of Fear, Anaconda first thing after rope drop, and we had no problems hitting all these early, and then going to the other side of he park in the afternoon! okay thank you so much. This will probabily be the one and only time I go to Kings Dominion (even though i get in free to all Cedar Fair owned parks). I would like to get Every coaster done. I may go to Volcano first, just like how I go to Firehawk/ FOF at Kings island.

I am planning a 3 day trip to Kings Dominion to get a ride on hopefully ll the coasters including Shockwave. Does anyone have a suggestion on a good day to be at the park where its not busy and should i buy Fastlane? This trip will commence in little less than 3 weeks.

As a guy that works at KI, i can agree with you. I may work at the log ride (not so special sometimes) depending on the people that are in, and we are two sided, we can take a 35 minute wait and trim it down to 10. Just depends on who's in honestly. Also i know its not happening next year, but maybe a new flat or maybe Slingshot moved to use the old Flight commander location?

Has anyone stopped in at the store next to the girls/80s store on international street!? They have vintage kings island shirts (bat king cobra beast). Also at the coaster connection by banshee they have limited edition collectors pins for king cobra and flying Eagles. If anyone would like k can upload the pics of all of them.

Is it just me or of all three trains on banshee , the teal train has a huge rattle to it!?
