quick phot updates from the parks twitter acount. Foundation pouring is going along smoothly and parts for the slides have been delivered! Foundation and cement work. we have slide parts!!!!

I mean i remember when working over the summer it cant go a day or two without breaking down...... Plus i didnt think about it but maybe they're just touching up some paint because some sections of the lift looks like the rails have been "burned" EDIT- just checked the webcam and the crane is gone, must have been annual maintenance.

This is going to be one INSANE coaster. Maybe we could see some of the lift go up by friday or more of the immelman go into place?

^The only way i can see the Beast turning into a rough ride is if they remove some of the magnetic brakes they have on it now. I remember about 3-4 years ago it was getting a little rough for me. I don't think there where a lot of brakes at that time.

I went down to the park friday to return my work uniforms and i noticed three things: 1. The North Entrance Toll is now demolished. 2. The exit from the park near Great Wolf lodge has a "rough draft" of pavement, so that means that that exit will be expanded. 3. Concrete work for the foundation for Tropical Plunge has started. Sorry i could not snap any pictures i was in a hurry to get Black Ops 3

I'm still looking for a giga in the next year or two. I could see them adding the same ride Canada's wonderland is putting in if its popular.

I'm up to see if this would make for a better ride but..........when they took out the loop on Son of beast they used lighter trains. Not a good combination..........Maybe they could have GCI come in and re do it like Ghost rider..... don't plan on it though. I don't see them touching Beast unless maintenance gets to high to maintain it or if not a lot of people ride it.

Maintenance does not take long. Just started the off season and cortex's cars are all of waiting to go to the shop. Who knows whos else's trains are already off.

So something i saw yesterday while walking around was that there where literally almost NO scareactors walking around when Haunt started at 6 o'clock , and none of the mazes outside opened till i think 8:30? But I did find something when i was in Diamondback's store. This something was a 4 piece dot magnet set that said "Fear The Four" the four listed being Beast, Firehawk, Vortex and yes the unloved Son Of Beast. One last thing i noticed yesterday was that they use the old Flight Commander Queue line building for overflow from Killmart's line.

I still think that KI should run at least one or two houses at least, maybe the new BLACKOUT or MADAM FATALES CAVERN OF HORRORS, just so that the teenagers/Adults aren't bored to death with spooky children stuff....although i haven't seen many Haunt props covered up on Sundays like they used to. In other words construction has started on tropical plunge!

Has anyone else noticed how Carowinds and KI have added the unlimited souvenir cup refills for 25 bucks next year? That honestly sounds like a good deal....

Not the first time we've seen some tress go bye bye from Cedar Point.........Less trees every year . Hopefully making a trip up to ride Valravn next year!

In the loop just posted a review of clint visiting Haunt for the first time. Overall I have been through Madam Fatales, Board to death, Urgent Scare and Cornstalkers. Overall I think that Madam Fatale's and Urgent Scare where really good. The bigger mazes seem to good, andn ive heard a lot of people talk about Blackout. Id use the In The Loop video to make decisions on what to go to and what not to go to.

as an employee there they do not have housing for employees. They're supposed to be building apartments where the Kings Island Inn was but who knows when that will begin. In other words the construction for Kings Island drive has begun as they have culverts dug and cement poured.

For those of you who like shows at amusement parks and are musicians blood drums is a really good show and I believe it is the fourth year for it to return to kings island. It's been at many cedar fair parks. Blood drums cast! Great haunt show! House from the scaffolding.

Apparently the scaffolding on the front entrance was not for anything dealing with shingles ......... But it was for haunt. I do not have a picture at the moment but I will get one tomorrow after I get off and they built a house with the scaffolding!

^^^ If youre there saturday come say hi! ill be at the good old log flume! hopefully it wont be that crowded....

So just wondering, does anyone think the scaffolding on the front entrance is just for Haunt or............................................... just a thought.

Well since Haunt opened this week, might as well point out some things i have noticed. The Eiffel Tower, on the top part of the tower (North Elevator) now has a set of eyes, on each of the four sides of the tower. The Haunt "entrance" set up has been moved near the Kings Island theater. But finally we have markers for the new slides and they are going to be installed where i first thought they would go, in between the tidal wave bay wavepool and the main entrance. Also an update on the improvements of Kings Island drive will include an expansion of the road to feature i believe 3 or 4 lanes. Sewer drains have been poured and installed. Apparently Friday night wasn't really that packed, Saturday was okay. Could not tell you about today (Sunday) as I did not work. Also, I've heard from multiple guests that the new "Blackout" maze is really good! I did notice that the park has installed a new entrance for 'Tombstone Terror-tory" since they do not use the train anymore. place for new "Tropical Plunge"

So just wondering. Do dive machines like griffon and sheikra provide good capacity?

So since we saw the announcement of valraven today (we all knew since plans were leaked and YouTube videos are up from cedar points official page) could we possibly think that KI will possibly get a new coaster for 2017 since it's usually a year after CP gets one that KI gets one. For example. Gatekeeper = banshee. Valraven = new coaster ??? That's just my opinion

Mostly every coaster have bins. FOF, Banshee and Firehawk do not. Even Race for your life doesnt have them. The reason why might either be for a) quick dispatch or b)fire hazard. Race for your life doesnt have them because its a fire hazard.

Yes, you are correct, last year at least every roller coaster had at least 2-5 rows left until a full queve. Haunt lines get long to. Everyone loves this time of the year for things to go bump in the night (cough cough a VALRAVEN..... cough cough).

I was informed yesterday, that the train for Tombstone Territory will no longer be running. Tombstone will still be operating, just without the train.
