  1. The park was busy this weekend. Saturday was busy in the day but picked up A LOT at night. I believe parking was into the over flow lot saturday and sunday. Sunday was the busiest IMO. Crowds were high, lines were long (yes dorney does get lines on their coasters). Games were busy. Weather was perfect for it all.
  2. Just saw a post saying that B&M is doing the refurb. Is was confirmed from a spokesperson for universal. http://www.themeparkinsider.com/flume/201510/4775/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+ThemeParkInsider+%28Theme+Park+Insider%29
  3. From what ive heard, the new cornstalkers is not a building that will be up year round.
  4. Any day now dorney..... still waiting for your "announcement"
  5. Waiting in line for diamondback and a kid behind me says "I saw millennium force at cedar point stop at the top and roll back down the hill. It runs on magnets."
  6. Went to the park yesterday before ending home from KI, and it was great. Was expecting a somewhat large crowd, and there wasnt really one. Rode Gatekeeper, MF, and Top Thrill. Gatekeeper was a a walk on. Waited the longest for MF and TTD. It was a good few hours in the park.
  7. Gatekeeper is one of the best coasters at the park, IMO.
  8. Does anyone know how the crowds will be this saturday? Making a trip from jersey with friends. Hoping it wont be too busy.
  9. Just got home from employee preview night for haunt. The new Trick or Treat is awesome! Corn stalkers/bloodshed is incredible. The time they put into building corn stalkers is awesome! Best one by far IMO. They also added apple dumplings with ice cream over by Center Stage. Hope to see some of you at the park
  10. I'm all for Steel Force making this list but honestly, how is it higher than Kingda Ka? And how is Kingda Ka 49th in the world? And i305 should be higher.
  11. I stayed at Sandcastle Suites in July of this year in the Corkscrew wing. It was very nice, quiet, and I loved the location next to Magnum's turnaround. After dinner at TGI Friday's each night we walked along the path back to Sandcastle and it was really nice. Almost nobody was on there. The room was awesome except for the bed - was your bed AWFUL?!?! Ours didn't just sag in the middle, I actually think it had been sawed in half. We shoved couch cushions in the middle of it in an attempt to keep the mattress semi level. I wish I was kidding. I've slept in some bad beds but this was by far the worst. I'd be interested to hear if other rooms had similar mattresses or if it was a fluke. Other than that, our experience was excellent and I'd stay there again. Not sure what prices are like at Breakers compared to what we paid. I slept on the pull out, which wasn't to bad. We stayed in the corkscrew wing as well. Stayed at the end of the hall with the staircase right there which was nice. The path was beautiful but could use a little more lighting. We had a great stay.
  12. No kidding? I would have never guessed Gotta stay in what you can afford
  13. We went for the first time in Juky and stayed at the breakers, it turly was an amazing experience... We even got upgraded to a 9th floor room facing the park! I would imagine it was more roomy then sandcastle? It was a little tight with 5 people in the small room.
  14. On a side note, went back in may to the park and stayed at the sandcastle suits. Going back next may and was wondering if we should check out another hotel on property.
  15. The drop it 205. The height of the lift is 200 feet.
  16. But really weird but I over heard some kid a few weeks ago walling up towards hydra say "This ride is a combination of talon possessed and steel force" And another time heard someone say how you get wet on possessed....
  17. I don't know if that's a state law but I know Dorney can't built over 200 feet because of the two airports close to the park. And yes the water park does get more of a crowd than the fry side does. But there are a lot of days where steel force is running all three trains and still have almost an hour wait. A few Saturdays ago I got off work so I stayed in the park and every coaster had a 45 min to hour wait. We are smaller than Hershey and SFG and we are not one of the most likely parks in the CF chain. The last few weeks the hour has been going to the lower lot for parking which never happens during the week. On Saturdays when you're one way inbound from 9:30 in the morning to 2-3pm and they are into overflow 4 or 5 (back behind stinger, the asylum, and grave walkers) its pretty damn busy.
  18. Nope... same story at Dorney. No crowds on Friday, Saturday or Sunday or Monday or any other day ending in a y. Don't know what park you're talking about but Dorney is always slammed on Saturdays and Sundays.
  19. Crowds for labor day maybe a hit or miss. The last few weekends have been busy. I would expect to see a fairly big crowd.
  20. https://m.facebook.com/dorneypark?ref=bookmarks They have an album for all the preview stuff.
  21. Sometime in September they are making an "announcement" I haven't heard about this yet. The only thing I heard was "Either new trains for Thunderhawk or retrofitting those crappy lap bars on the PTC trains." Any other details or just "an announcement?" I would feel as if they make some kind of announcement it will be either some flat ride or something with the water park. And of course hopefully some park improvements. I asked one manager if he heard anything and he just kind of smiled at me and said he cant say.
