Thanks for advice guys, good to know that we have chosen well! Any advice or tips for when visiting those parks would be appreciated. I don't think that Knoebels was ever on our list when planning - not sure how or why - as it would have been a great addition to our trip. All of our hotels are booked now, so don't have the option to change - but all the more excuse for a return visit for another trip! I was lucky enough to win the 1st ever pair of passes to Ferrari Land at PortAventura World since my original post - so I'll also be visiting there too in 2017 - just a pity I won't be able to make it to opening day due to work... Will be doing my usual trips to Alton Towers and Thorpe Park in 2017 too, along with hopefully a few more of local UK parks depending on work/family commitments.

Flying from UK into Toronto for a 10 day road trip down into the US to do these parks for the very first time: Cedar Point Kings Island Kennywood Six Flags Great Adventure Darien Lake Canada's Wonderland It's gonna be great!!!!

Loved the review! Will be visiting Darien Lake for the 1st time next year as part of a USA/Canada road trip with my best mate - really looking forward to this park after your review!

Don't suppose anyone will be at HHN on Sunday 4th October. I'm going for the first time and will be all alone - so would be grateful of some company!

So excited to see all of the stuff from HHN, outfits and props look amazing! 1st time I'll ever have been to Florida, let alone HHN, so really looking forward to seeing everything! Travelling with my family, but none of them are into horror stuff... I'll be at HHN on Sunday 4th October, so if you see a scared looking brit stood trembling on his own in a corner somewhere, that'll be me - please come and save me!

Seriously cannot wait for HHN25! Never been before - or in fact to the US either - but will be there for either the 3rd or 4th weekend! Going on my own for the night, so look out for the English man screaming! Haha!

Thanks Guy and Jynx! I'll certainly be keeping in touch throughout the next year on here; it's great to know where I can go for some advice. It didn't even cross my mind that I might be able to meet up with some of you guys, but that is a possibility that I wouldn't turn down - I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

Really enjoyed our trip to Thorpe this year, and have been thinking about the size of where the plans for the new attraction will go, - I think it's a decent enough space to build something really exciting! That area of the park could do with something new, and the carousel has had it's day anyway! Will hopefully be back there next year for Fright Nights, but not 100% sure yet. Did a lift hill climb of The Swarm this year and the views were amazing, would definitely recommend it to anyone who has the chance!

Gonna be at Universal for HHN25 in October 2015, but have never been before (1st time in Florida). I'll be with my partner, our 3 year old son and 1 of our close friends. I'll be heading off to HHN on my own, as the others can't handle horror stuff - just wondered if anyone has been to HHN on their own, and whether you still had a good time? I'm happy in my own company, but not sure what these events are like without anyone else with you. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone! I've been following TPR on Twitter and Facebook for a long time and thought it was about time that I joined the forum! Been to lots of different theme parks in the UK, and also been lucky enough to go to Disneyland Paris twice (most recently last year) and Port Aventura a long long time ago... Favourite rides are both at Alton Towers - Nemesis and The Smiler! Love them both and my favourite changes depending on my mood! Been dreaming of going to Florida for years and finally lucky enough to be going next year! I'm sure I'll be using lots of info from the forum to plan everything and will definitely be drawing on everyone's knowledge and experiences!
