When we were at Kings Island about 3 weeks ago we were walking over towards the white water rapids ride and noticed the netting over the walkway with the various items thrown from Diamondback. They definitely get a collection of items including a tennis shoe lol. I definitely recommend Backlot Stunt Coaster (my hubby isn't a coaster fanatic and he loves it) and Banshee. While I can ride a coaster, I can't do front row seats but I sat in the middle and I was impressed with it. It was a main reason I went to the park as I hadn't rode it yet.

Saturday's are very busy for Halloween Haunt, I would recommend buying Fright Lane to get front of the line for the haunted houses, if that's your goal. Or fast lane if your goal is the roller coasters. The park is open 11a to 1a, but the houses don't open until 6 or 7p. The outdoor one's might not open until 8p. I enjoy Halloween Haunt a lot, the houses aren't all that "scary", but with that being said, I have been going every Friday night for the last 5+ years, so I have the houses laid out and know what's going to happen next. Thanks! My hubby and I were just there 2 weeks ago so I got to ride the coasters then but we'll definitely look into the passes. With it being said, I love being scared to death and we all love going ghost hunting when we get a chance.

A lot of parks are announcing their 2017 projects and I notice Holiday World hasn't announced anything. Even though it must be nothing major I still love my former home park and I can't wait to see what is in store. With living 4.5-5 hours away, I haven't been since 2011 and look forward to going back next summer for a couple of days. They've added quite a few rides that I have never experienced, including Thunderbird!

My hubby, friends and I are planning on a trip to Kings Island on Saturday, October 8. None of us have ever been during their Halloween event so are Saturdays pretty crazy busy? What is their Halloween event like? It's open 11am-1am that day and we're planning on being there for the long haul.

I've met Mark Martin (a Nascar driver), Martina McBride--about 6 times in the last 3 years. I've also been able to meet John Cena, Natalya, Dean Ambrose and Lillian Garcia from the WWE.

Is anybody going to be at the park during the day on Friday and Saturday of Holiwood Nights? My hubby and I will be visiting with family around then and we're looking to go back (we haven't been since 2011) and I'm looking forward to 2 days of riding fun.

^I love that Raging Rapids ride actually. I can remember riding it ever since I was a little girl (my cousin and I would have to ride it first thing and then we'd dry off riding Banshee and Raven). It's been a few years but I thight at one time Splashin' Safari was directly behind RR but maybe it's the walkway to Thanksgiving now?? It would be cool if they could have it in Thanksgiving instead and they could say its a Rapids ride to make it feel like you're in the ocean coming to the New World.

Anybody planning on being at the park on June 11&12? My hubby and I are gonna be there those days. I haven't been since summer 2011 so I haven't been able to ride Mammoth and newer rides. Any advice on lines for Mammoth? I remember we waited awhile for Wildebeest that summer but was worth it so I'm thinking Mammoth will be better. It's been great hearing about Thunderbird. Out of both sides which is the better of the two?

Seeing all the positive reviews about Thunderbird is awesome. I won't get to the park until June to ride it so I'm feeling pretty anxious about it. I'm actually curious to see how quickly the line will move as this is gonna be majorly popular this season.

Paula-- Is the barn/station gonna have the look like in the animation? I think a neat thing in the station would be the journal pages on the wall. It's exciting to see the pictures of construction but wish I was closer to buy a season pass as central Ohio is about a 5 hr drive.

I visited Holiday World every year from 1987 to 2011 and it's so awesome to see how much this park has grown! I remember riding The Raven and Legend with my cousin. Since I haven't been lately, I'm excited to ride Mammoth as Wildebeest is my favorite ride in the park! Needless to say, our cousins will be going with us next year with us as they are excited to ride Thunderbird! I've never been on a wing coaster as I went to Dollywood before Wild Eagle was there so I'm pretty thrilled to experience it!
