  1. They will probably use Ziz to tease just like they did with the bat at Kings Islande. Ever since Behemoth they made a roller coaster every 4 years. When they said it was a very big project 2 months ago it would probably mean a new coaster because the only thing missing at Canada's Wonderland are quality rides like B & M, RMC and Intamin. I was wachting a video on youtube, Canada's Wonderland vs Six Flags Great America and I was thinking how much better Six Flags Great America was than Canada's Wonderland ride whise. Like Six Flags Great America had a RMC Hybrid, a B & M Invert, a Wing coaster, a Hyper-Twister, an great racing woodie and a Flying coaster. Canada's Wonderland has a ok woodie, a Hyper coaster, a dark ride and a B & M Giga. But other than the roller coasters, Canada's Wonderland is a great park.
  2. I do not think I would want to go to the Halloween Haunt, seems so scary. Especially with all the people in costumes jumping out at you. I Probably could not go to sleep for a week after that.
  3. I Agree, I really like the station for Manta and especially the aquarium but for the ride experience I would pick Tatsu especially with it's huge pretzel loop.
  4. The new ones (except Banshee) are really "forceless" while the old ones are really intense and forceful. By forceful do you mean G-forces? If yes I agree that B & M's have more "airtime" than positive G's. And it's not just about the positive Gs. You can have a ride with huge Gs and still be not very interesting (for instance, if you have a really long forceful helix it may get a little boring). It was about a combination of those Gs with fast/snappy elements, quick transitions and overall an intense ride. Quick changes in G forces also make it feel more intense. With some coasters it is easy to tell (compare Patriot's zero g roll (1:10) to batman's (0:47) and you can also see just how fast the two corkscrews on batman are) while others it's harder to see from POVs and you have to ride them to know. I hope Canada's Wonderland will get a superior B & M. Since the making of Banshee, they will probably deliver a more forceful ride.

  6. The new trains will probably come in spring so that their trains are not sitting in the station collecting dust. All they really need to do besides that is finish painting near the station, fix the station up then it would be ready. If it was a brake upgrade which I don't think would happen it would be magnetic brakes if they do not already have them.
  7. I have not been on any old B & M's. What is the difference between the new ones and the old ones? Do you think if Canada's Wonderland got a new B & M it would be as good as the old ones? They said it was going to be a very big project.
  8. Sorry I just have a lot to say and I like to respond to other peoples posts. Is there anything wrong with double posting? I find the new B & M's are better than the old. When did Stengel leave? Sorry I double posted I was just trying to edit my post than it made two post.

  11. What's wrong with B & M aren't their new rides amazing like Banshee and Fury 325.
  12. It is more like quality than quantity of roller coasters. Think about it like this, A park with 1 Intamin launched coaster (The good ride of this park). The only ride worth riding is the Intamin coaster. You must have not been to good Cedar Fair parks like Cedar point, good landscaping, scenery and excellent rides, now that mantis is now floorless trains, the only bad ride is Mean streak unlike Canada's Wonderland were they have a bunch of rough a painful rides. I still do love Canada's Wonderland especially their landscaping but the only roller coasters worth riding are Leviathan, Behemoth, Wonder Mountains Guardian and vortex or maybe Mighty Canadian Mine Buster depending if you like woodies. One of the things that is really good about the park is the Wonder Mountain, I think Canada's wonderland is the best looking Cedar Fair park. CW has an Intamin? Even after consulting RCDB I can't find one. No, I made that park up as an example of a park with a large quantity of painful rides.
  13. All I have to say is it would be pretty ironic if CF put in a B&M invert at CW, as they were the one's who prevented it in the first place. Sadly, I believe it's 20 years too late. B&M went soft a while ago IMO (yes, I know about Banshee), and unless CW REALLY wants an intense coaster, I'm pretty sure La VAmpire will hold the title of best B&M in Canada. Except Leviathan and Behemoth
  14. It is more like quality than quantity of roller coasters. Think about it like this, A park with 2 a arrow dynamics coasters, A Vekoma SLC, 3 woodies, 1 Intamin launched coaster (The good ride of this park), a Togo standup coaster and a Zamperla flying coaster. 15. B & M seems to be their only manufacture right now and they will probably want at least one good inverted coaster. Or maybe they will go back to Intamin for a inverted coaster or even scratch the hole inverted thing and get a RMC hybrid.
  16. I hope that Canada's Wonderland will get rid of flight deck and replace it with a B & M invert. Until Canada's wonderland gets their new coaster, (possibly in 2016) the park only really has three good roller coasters ( Vortex, Behemoth, Leviathan) they really need an B & M coaster with inversions or a Intamin coaster like Maverick. Same goes for time Warp.
  17. Hell, I'd be happy if CW managed to buy Le Vampie (BTR Clone) off of La Ronde. They could market it as flight deck: the 2nd mission, or some kind of reboot of the ride. It'd probably be more forcefull than any new B&M they get, and possibly would take lines out of the origonal flight deck (maybe that'd get them to tear it down?) lol Seriously though, a good forceful looper would be huge for the park IMO. La Ronde would probably not sell it because that and the Goliath are the best rides in the park.
  18. When it is a coaster like Banshee how could you resist not getting one?
  19. I still hope that Canada's Wonderland will get the new restrains for flight deck or just remove it because it is so rough. Still a Vekoma SLC is nothing compared to a B & M invert. I would not mind a coaster like Banshee for a new roller coaster.
  20. Don't know if I'm using this right, but You can almost guarantee that Canada's Wonderland will be teasing "Ziz" for their 2016 attraction. My money's on a B&M launched of some sort. Wing seems like the most obvious one. A launched wing coaster could not be a very big project. The problem with a launched wing coaster is that the trains need to be shortened to be light enough for the launch (see Holiday World) and with CW's attendance, I really doubt CF would want to limit capacity like that. If it is going to be a launched coaster, I would expect it to be a sit-down or floorless train. If it were a launched coaster it would probably not be floor less because their has not been any floor less launched coasters yet. It will probably either a regular wing coaster, a B & M invert or a flying coaster. But this thunderbird is also B&Ms first launched wing coaster. There is always a first (not that I think that a launched floorless is happening) I agree And now that B & M have made their first launch coaster they will probably start making all sorts of them.

  22. I think that layout will be the real layout only for were it goes not the inversions, turns, ect
