  1. From the posts you made earlier, it appears you've never ridden Raging Bull, yet somehow you think you can say that it's "an OK hyper coaster". How would you know? Just wondering. Just from facts, discussions, pov's, after all I know a lot about roller coasters.
  2. I believe only 3 of those Cedar Point coasters were after Cedar Fair bought out the paramount parks. Look at what CW has got in the last couple years compared to what the other CF parks have got! Than I guess Paramount Parks was neglecting Canada's Wonderland!
  3. Do you think that Fury325 will be forceful like the old B & M's and still have lots of airtime?
  4. Umm... regardless of quality, Canada's Wonderland has 16 roller coasters, it's currently tied for the most coasters in Cedar Fair parks! I really don't think that's exactly neglecting, especially since they've gotten 2 B&M hypers in the last 5 years, one of them being a giga-coaster, and a one of a kind shooting ride this year. Most of those 16 coasters are rough and boring, only Leviathan, Behemoth and Vortex are good.
  5. I believe only 3 of those Cedar Point coasters were after Cedar Fair bought out the paramount parks. Look at what CW has got in the last couple years compared to what the other CF parks have got! I guess, but I still think they should get a new coaster at least every 3 years. Parks like Michigan's Adventure have not gotten a new roller coaster in 7 years.
  6. It seams to the only good rides at the park are Leviathan Behemoth and maybe Wonder Mountain's Guardian. But other Cedar Fair parks like Carowinds and Cedar Point have better roller coasters. Like Cedar Point will have a B & M floorless, have a giga coaster, a hyper coaster, an awesome Intamin coaster(Maverick), a B & M invert, a Wing coaster, a inverted impulse coaster and a rare strata coaster. So it seems like Canada's Wonderland is a bit neglected for roller coasters. And since they have a huge attendance they should get a new coaster at least every 3 years.
  7. Do you think that Canada's Wonderland is a bit neglected compared to Cedar Point and other Cedar Fair parks?
  8. Agreed, I go to SFOT here and when I rode Mean Streak this season, it reminded me A LOT of the original Texas Giant. While yes they were both built by Dinn Corp one year apart, they essentially are brother rides. It's likely only a matter of time. The park knows people don't like it, they likely are just waiting to make their money on Gatekeeper. It wouldn't shock me if the park already has a plan with RMC to create some incredible transformation. The park knows the kind of publicity and money it will generate, so they are gonna make sure to maximize the publicity first. I think the way Cedar Fair treats Cedar Point they will probably get the first Cedar Fair RMC hybrid. Cedar Point is always getting lots of big roller coasters, and Cedar Fair basically spoils Cedar Point considering how parks like Michigan's Adventure have not gotten a new coaster in 7 years, and that was a used Vekoma SLC! I am complaining too much since my home park is Canada's Wonderland which is not that neglected.
  9. Raging bull is an OK Hyper coaster, the only thing that I do not like like is the brakes. I wish all Hyper and Giga coasters were like Raging bull expect for the brakes. I love rides that have lots of airtime and intense turns. Does anyone know why Raging bull has so many brakes?
  10. I think that in the next few years Cedar Point will turn Mean Streak into a hybrid coaster because now that is the only rough ride.
  11. I have an idea, fast lane season passes. What do you think of my idea? Then instead of an extra $50-70 you could just buy a fast lane season pass for a cheaper price than buying one every time you come.
  12. Flight Deck is far, far from the shortest line in the park. And again, consider the ROI on the SLC going to Michigan's Adventure. This is a park that gets only around 1 million visitors, and its main draw is the water park. Parks this small cannot afford big coasters every 4-5 years like larger parks that get approx. 3.5 million like CP and CW, so when a used ride comes available, it should pay off well for the small park. And I highly doubt Michigan's Adventure is subsidizing Cedar Point, especially since Cedar Point went 5 years without a coaster after the SLC went to MA. But still Michigan's Adventure has not gotten a new coaster in years, you think they would at least try to get a decent B & M by now. For Skyrider, I thought it was going to a museum, but I also heard somewhere that is was sold by someone in Italy.
  13. At least your head did not get bumped a 100 times. Something to add about the stabbing. There was no link between the stabbings and the Halloween Haunt event happening inside Wonderland at the time, police said.
  14. Does that make it better than hyper coasters?
  15. What is the difference between a hyper coaster and a hyper-twister? Like I do not see a difference between Raging Bull and other hyper coasters.
  16. I think Holiday World is the best fall looking park. Instead of having a golden ticket award for the most beautiful park, they could have one for best park in fall and I am sure Holiday World would win it.
  17. If it is an Intamin Strata coaster than except lots of problems. On Kingda Ka they spend a lot of money on fixing the launch. Hopefully a new type of launch coaster will be developed with no problems.
  18. I think I remember reading that Tatsu's Pretzel Loop pulls 4.5Gs at the bottom It is not about the G's, for me it is about diving upside down in that pretzel loop.
  19. Rides tend to be removed when they are at the end of their life cycle. That combined with the placement of the coaster probably made SkyRider the obvious choice to go in the minds of management. What about Mantis turning into Rougarou. Mantis is rough and got changed to a floorless coaster. Cedair Fair is just trying to make Cedair Point perfect. They should try to make Canada's Wonderland perfect. What's your point? Cedar Fair is not removing a coaster, the park is modifying a coaster. My point is that Canada's Wonderland should get the new restrains on Flight Deck as soon as possible. And that Cedair Fair cares more about Cedair Point than Canada's Wonderland. You need to take into consideration the return on investment for every decision each park makes. New restraints on Flight Deck likely won't increase ridership because ridership is already high. It also isn't very marketable unlike the Mantis conversion. Cedar Fair is trying to make each park as profitable as possible, they don't care about one park more than another. Flight Deck has the shortest line in the park. Then how come Michigan's Adventure did not get a coaster in 7 years and that was a used Vekoma SlC, they probably took the money from Michigan's Adventure for Cedar Point.
  20. What incident's were there this year?
  21. Totally agree the colours look great! I will be very interested to hear what the launch is actually like and if it causes any weird vibrations or roughness in the trains. I agree too, I think the best time to ride it is in fall.
  22. Do you know who the manufacturer is?
  23. Is Tatsu's pretzel loop very scary? I do not know if I want to ride it.
  24. I might go next Saturday. Should I buy fast lane?
