Wow. When I was there yesterday everything was open and running fantastic except for the operations. Must've been one of the worst days in a while at the part. So did the Nitro train valley somewhere on the ride or did it stop on the MCBR? It ran great yesterday. Was it the winds that caused it? And also, how were the crowds today? (Sorry for all the questions )

I'm honestly really excited about next year. With the amount of land available, they could really add something truly incredible. I just hope they don't pull a Six Flags and fill it with something cheap. I think it's about time they dump a huge investment in the park, as it's been a while since they have.

Yeah that supervisor lady yesterday seemed very stressed out. She looks like she was in total control and was telling everyone what to do. Also, yesterday, when they tried bringing the second train out, they sent it around once with no one on, then the supervisor lady, and a few new attendants and some maintenance people got on board for a test run when it came around again. Once it seemed fine, they opened the ride again. Then a minute later, they said they were having more difficulties and without anyone getting a ride, put the second train they just put on back on the transfer track. It was really aggravating. I hope this will not continue throughout the season.

Thats the funny part. It really wasn't opening day kinks, it was the same problem that always plagues its operations. It was definitely much worse than ive ever seen. Last year, the crew was grinding out train very fast, and made hour long waits half an hour for me. Yesterday they made a 5 minute wait a forty minute wait for me. I know they're a new crew, but I thought they could've done a bit better than what they did yesterday.

Overall I enjoyed my first trip on an opening day to Great Advebture. I arrived a bit late at noon and left at closing. It rained for a good part of the day but it was not too bad. The crowds were very light today, and the rain really helped scare everyone away. El Toro: The ride is doing great again this year. It was smooth as always and it felt great experiencing that first drop again for the first time this year. The ride crew was awful on Toro today. The time between dispatches was usually ten minutes. I saw so many walks of shame on it today, which didn't help the wait time. It operated with one train all day. I was in the station when they tried to put the second train on, but after running it once, they decided to take it back off again. So many technical difficulties, and I waited 30+ minutes in the station for it to be fixed. I was able to ride it 5 times today, 3 times in a row without getting off. The line was relatively short throughout the day. Nitro: Good ride as always. They ran three trains to begin the day but moved to 2 later on. When I was at the ride, the line was always a walk into the station. The crew was also not doing very good, and was consistently stacking trains. I ended the night with a ten ride marathon without getting off. Also got on the last train of the night second row. My brother was able to go on it 19 times without gettin off. Just goes to show you how low the crowds were later on in the day. C train had its notorious rattle still, so I was pretty disappointed, but the ride is still fun. Kingda Ka: I honestly did not think I would have had the opportunity to ride it today with the rain throughout the day, but I thankfully let up and I was one of the first in line when it reopened. Of course I had to ride from row, and it's a thrilling but short ride.It also experienced a few technical difficulties, which caused me to not be able to ride it a second time, but the one ride I had was great. The crew was pretty solid, and was grinding out the two trains at a steady pace. Batman: In my opinion the most underrated ride in the park. It had the lowest lines of any coaster today, yet I still feel like it is a fantastic ride. It is running good and was very smooth. The intensity is incredible, and continues to surprise me. I was able to ride it 5 times in a row. I could have definitely gone longer, as every time I came back to the station there was only one or two people in the station. After a certain number of rides a break is needed. The crew was fantastic and worked fast. This coaster had the shortest lines of the day. Bizarro: Fun as usual. The line was nonexistent as usual. This makes for a great combo. I ride it several times without gettin off, but as there was no line, I could've definitely continued to go. The crew worked nice here too. Overall a nice ride when you need something different. Superman: This one had no line as well, and I walked right onto the back row for the next train. A fun ride. Love the pretzel loop. Rest of the ride is meh. The crew worked a bit slow, and with only one train running it kept us waiting a few minutes. I could've marathoned it for a long time, but I decided against it as I felt like there were better ones to marathon. Zumanjaro: Almost no line at all. Was a walk on for me Te two times I rode it. The drop is not as good as compared to some other drop towers, but the views are really nice. Didn't ride Grenn Lantern, Runaway Mine Train, Skyscreamer, Dark Knight, or Skull Mountain. I would imagine there was no wait for these either. Concerning El Diablo, I saw them moving pieces of the base and support over to the site today. Overall had a great time at the park. It was pretty much dead today, and I was so happy I could finally get my coaster-fix. The offseason is over!!!

Hey guys! I might be attending the park tomorrow, and I have never been on opening day before. Are the lines usually long on opening days? And, will any of the coasters be closed? With the weather tomorrow, I'm not even sure if the drive down is worth it with the high chance of rain and lightning though.

Webcams are back up but they are pointed in awkward angles. it wont show the launch track. maybe they are launching it at slow speeds now??? -
I honestly don't want to see a new coaster until we see the improvements made around the park. (fixing of old queue lines, paint, etc.) Any word on if the park is trying to put nets around Ka to try to let both Zumie and Ka run together? And will we likely see the path between Toro and Ka reopened next year with Looping Dragon coming in?

Hey guys there is a very good chance that i am heading up to the park tomorrow on Columbus Day I was wondering if anyone has ever been there on a Columbus Day before? I have heard that Fright Fest generally does not attract that large of crowds, but because its Columbus Day, will it be more packed than any other Fright Fest Day, based on years past? Thanks

I was literally just about to say that and I thought of the most ingenious idea ever, but I apparently wasn't the only one.
