  1. That is great news garyman6!! I guess a coaster for 2016 isn't unlikely! And if there is ONE THING that needs to be completely redone is the PARKING LOT. It is so bad, and they really need to tear all the concrete out and pave a whole new one. It feels awful when driving over it.
  2. Well we can only hope that 2016 is the year for our coaster. Or at least the year for a new thrilling flat ride, such as a giant Frisbee to hold us off until 2017. My perfect coaster would be the world's tallest b&m invert, flying above the brand new front entrance. It would be named Avalanche, with a cool white and blue color scheme. It would go through tunnels that are themed by ice. It would also feature 7 inversions, and they would be forceful due to the sheer speed of the coaster. Ugh one can dream.
  3. Someone posted on here that plans were changed for 2016, so do these hints still work? Are you still sitting on the same rumor?
  4. So garyman6, when will you be giving us our next hint? We need things to speculate about! Lol
  5. ^ Yes thank God we have Renegade! Without that coaster Valleyfair would really be lacking like MA. And if we get a new coaster without removing any, it would make our park much better
  6. We took a trip to Valleyfair yesterday night for Haunt. It was overall a very fun day. We got there at around 6, and it was absolutely deserted. Absolutely nobody was there. So I used my common sense and we headed for Renegade first. It was a walk on! It was great. We then went to Wild Thing and had an amazing experience in the back seat. Lots of airtime. When Haunt started at 7, we went to Zombie High school first, and I can tell you that this was the 3rd time I've been to Haunt this year, and it was the best maze I've ever been through. As the night went on, people started to flow in. Then the fun halted to a stop as the lines for rides were insanely long. Wild Things queue was full. I've never seen it so packed before. The temperatures got bitterly cold too, almost freezing temp. My friends didn't want to wait in line for an hour to ride rides, so we hit a few more mazes and waited miserably in line for Xtreme Swings and Power Tower. We then decided to head out. So we got a ride on Steel Venom and then left. It was still a fun night overall. The cold just really got to us. There is one thing about valleyfair that bothers me everytime I visit, and that is the lack of rides and coasters. We felt bored after riding all the rides once, and I can't wait till we get a new coaster because it's needed badly. If ValleyFair gets a new coaster, preferably an invert, and a new kickbutt flat ride, preferably a giant Frisbee, it would really round out the park, and make it much more enjoyable. Does anyone agree with me?
  7. ^ In no way are we "jealous". We know that CW is getting something new and big. You don't need to keep posting that on here. Go to the CW thread if you want to do that. We all know CW is bigger than VF and most other parks, but there is no need for you to say that VF will not be receiving a coaster in 2016. 2 parks can receive a major coaster in one year, so just because CW is getting one doesn't mean VF won't. If your going to keep doing this than please go somewhere else than this thread.
  8. I don't think I'll want to buy a season pass if they don't get a coaster in 2016. We already filled the needs for family attractions. I also don't mean to sound rant or anything but cmon, we need a new coaster.
  9. Hey! Well it really comes down to if you want to do the Skeleton Key or not. I went this recent Friday and Saturday and it was much less busy on Friday, so lines should not be a problem! If you want to spend the extra money for skeleton key and a little faster lines, go for it! But if you don't think it is worth the money, you'll be just fine! Let me know if you have any more questions!
  10. Also, they finally put the 2nd train on Wild Thing after I tweeted out to Dave that the line was piling up. But still after that the 2nd train would have to wait at least 2 minutes on the brake run while the ops worked on getting the 1st train out of the station. But I do have to say, I had the BEST ride on Wild Thing I have ever experienced. The 1st drop was absolutely insane! It's so much fun at night. So now I'm going to give you a short park trip review: We arrived at the park around 7:30 on Saturday night. The line to get in was long, but I was impressed with how fast the security guards were checking people. Got in pretty quickly. The first thing we did was head to the mazes. ZOMBIE HIGH- This maze was pretty good, I really like the whole high school dance thing and the football zombies got a good scare out of me. 7/10 HellSide Farm - I absolutely love this maze. The corn maze theming was really cool, and the monsters did a great job at scareing people. 8/10 London Terror- This maze was moved to the new "building" behind High Roller. I was impressed by how large it was too. They did a great job. But I do feel they could have put more monsters in the maze. We literally walked through half the maze without seeing a single monster. It could be a really amazing maze, just needs some work. 7/10 Camp Wekilou- This was one the most popular mazes, and I feel like they took out half of the buildings. It seemed alot shorter than usual, and I just wasn't impressed. 6/10 Mr. Cleaver ' s Blood shed - This maze literally wasn't scary at all. It's more kinda gross and gory than scary. And the loud noise when the cleaver hits the table just hurts your ears. I can see why this one isn't very popular. - 5/10 The Asylum - This had to be the best maze there. I absolutely loved it, and the lady in the front before you go in is hilarious! "If you touch any of the monsters you'll have to lick my tam*on." Lol - 9/10 Chateau- We didn't get to go in this maze, the line was extremely long. Time for the rides. Wild Thing- Like I said the line was horrible and the ops weren't putting in full effort, but the ride itself was one of the best I've ever had. - 8/10 Steel Venom - This ride was running great and the back seat is my all time favorite because of the straight pike. 8/10 Renegade - This coaster is my all time favorite. Especially at night! The ops were hauling and they were operating 2 trains. It was also my best ride on this coaster too because it was my first time riding it at night. Absolutely amazing. - 10/10 Xtreme Swing - This ride never fails to scare me, I absolutely love it 8/10 Power Tower - Terrifying at night. Gives amazing views though. 7/10 Corkscrew - Fun ride, it was a walk on, so we rode a couple of times. 7/10 Mad Mouse - It was running ok. Not impressed though. They turned on the brakes at the top of the hill so the turns were really slow and boring. 5/10 High Roller - Line was packed, so we didn't feel the need to ride it. Overall it was a really fun night and I had a great time. I love all the theming around the park and the fog makes all the rides a lot more fun.
  11. This is ridiculous. I am at Valleyfair right now and Wild thing was operating with ONE TRAIN. The whole line queue is full, and it never is. The employees are doing an awful job. Ugh
  12. ^ Valleyfair can actually get really busy. If you go on a Saturday or Friday during the summer, the lines can get really long. I've waited in line for 2 hours for Renegade.
  13. So I may be going to the Park today, I was just wondering, is it usually busy on Saturdays right before HAUNT?
  14. Yeah, and they also are giving us THRILLING water slides. Isn't that what everyone wanted? Something for the teens and not just for families for once? Well we got it! This expansion really isn't that little or whatever you all are complaining about.
  15. Yes that's what I was trying to explain, the new bearfoot beach takes up the WHOLE IMAX grave, the artwork isn't even close to what it's actually going to look like. And just one more thing, the announcement was on the news this morning.
  16. Just to give you guys a perspective of how tall these breaker plunge slides actually are, I found a video from VFZ that shows slides that are 20 feet SHORTER than breakers plunge! These slides are insanely tall in this video, and the ones VF are getting are 20 feet TALLER! Check it out! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ptyWdutPjZ8
  17. That's crazy!^ Those 2 drop slides are 3X the height of the current panic falls. I've been on panic falls once, and it was intense, so I could only imagine that these new ones will be crazy intense. And Gary said a new hint will be coming once haunt starts.
  18. I feel like everyone is just giving up on Valleyfair. Like just because we didn't get a huge expansion, people are automatically inferring that this means we won't be getting growth or a B&M. It makes me kinda sad.
  19. Dave Frazier has confirmed that demolition will start at the end of September, and that the live Webcam will be returning for the construction
  20. ^ That's great! Please get us some good news from him. And yeah that's insane! 90 ft straight down is crazy!!
  21. ^Thank you! And guys, it's not like Valleyfair is gonna go 20 years without a new coaster, many things needed to be addressed before that happens. Like the area by steel venom and the waterpark. Now that those are done and many other improvements were made, I think we will see our new coaster in 2016. I'm putting money on it.
  22. ^This is a perfect example!!!!! WOF is the bigger park than VF, is it not? And WE are getting more expansion than them! They are making VF a growth park, you all are just let down because you thought that they were going to redo the whole soak city.
  23. This is ridiculous. Why are you all complaining?! The new slide complex looks awesome! And it says on the website that the barefoot beach area spans almost to an acre. It probably just looks small in the render. This is just like any other waterpark expansion that Carowinds or Canada's Wonderland or kings dominion, did you expect them to tear it down and build from the ground up? Stop complaining and be happy we didn't get "general improvements". We got Route 76 last year and this very welcoming waterpark expansion this year. Our time will come for a new coaster. Most likely 2016. We have gotten nice additions for 2 years now, so they are definitely putting money into our park. This may not look that appealing to you coaster enthusiasts, but the GP is going to love it, and Valleyfair will continue to expand. Just give it time.
