Sorry for the double post, but I love how Hyena Falls has friends now! Before it just was way out there by itself but I feel like now it fits into the layout of the park more cohesively than before. Very good placement on all three rides HW! -

Hi, I'm finally posting again! First of all, I love Holiday World to death, and to me it's the best park there is around, especially since I'm from Princeton Kentucky. Okay so now I figured since we all love Holiday World and most of us have been there, we know the general rides that we ride and the ones that we may skip. I would like to hear people's ideas on what rides and slides you feel could be replaced and upgraded and how. I will voice mine: The big standout to me is The Wave. When I go to HW and SS I always notice that generally this whole side of the water park is less busy. Now this does have some advantages, but it could also be a drawback in the space of the park. I feel like we will see a replacement to this ride, as it's attendance isn't close to Bahari, and since the old Congo River was taken out. I could see a new slide complex similar to Hyena Falls going here. I'm not so sure about Watubee and Otorongo, because I never ride them, but to me they look to be aging. Now Frightful Falls. I love Frightful Falls to death, and I probably ride it three times at least when I go, especially if I am not hitting up the water park that day, but I would love to see it upgraded. I would love to see one with more dips and higher hills and maybe a longer tunnel. Now this could go where FF is or it may be put where Pilgrim's Plunge/ Giraffica was. But you could also put a new raft ride where PP was, even though I love The Raging Rapids. if they did that that could open up some area for a new Fourth of July Coaster Other than that, I don't see much else to be improved since it's all basically great!!!! Ps- On a side note here, a new giant liberty launch (world's tallest launch) would totally be accepted! With like seven launches! sorry my enthusiast speaking there -

Oh I hate to double post but i feel like no one has mentioned this yet. Im not sure whether I saw it on here or Carowinds Connection, but someone mentioned how a 125 ft tall loop right after the first drop(or launch in this case) is very bland and used a lot by B&M. Now im not criticizing their opinion at all, in fact I respect it. We all like different things. Now i will say this. Everyone i talk to that mentions Holiday World in the Holiday World area(this is the go btw) say something like 'HW needs a roller coaster with a loop' or HW needs a roller coaster that goes upside down' and i feel like the loop was made so tall that it is visible above the trees, even from outside the park. This is intimidating to guests as well, and makes them more excited to ride it. -

Okay so I haven't gotten to say my opinions on Thunderbird until now. Paula, I really hope you read this, also. IMO, Thunderbird looks great from the animation renderings. I love the color. Im really excited to see a B&M in Holiday World, as well. I've always pictured Holiday World skyline with The Voyage and a bright colored B&M, and now we get one!!!! Now I have to admit something, I'm a 16 year old enthusiasts who plans to become a roller coaster engineer. My parents know my love for roller coasters, but they don't like them, so the only park I've been to since 2005 is Holiday World; therefore Ive never ridden a wing coaster but I've always wanted to. I just hope that you(Paula) and all the Holiday World staff know that me and everyone I've talked to about it is super excited to ride this. In Western Kentucky, there are no parks less than two hours away, except you. I love your park and I cant wait to see the future beyond 2015, and i cant wait to see this beauty sore in the skyline. -

I can honestly not believe my guess was right!!! I was only off by ten feet on the height, and i thought there would be a splashdown. I did get name, type, and manufacturer, and launch. -

Good job to the several members on here, and myself, who guessed the name of the ride and that it would be a launched wing coaster. I'm so impressed with this!!! -

Nope I too would be EXTREMELY happy with a wing coaster as well. I love those rides! But in all honestly I'll love any coaster they will put in. I'm not too terribly picky about coasters at all. I pretty much love them all. BTW I also thing there will be a loop or few involved...with some water elements... I feel the same way. I would be happy with ALMOST anything they put there. IMO wing coasters look cool and a lot of the gp there probably hasn't ridden one. who knows though. Holiday World outdoing Cedar Point so soon after their Gatekeeper would definitely be great -

...Consider yourself lucky. This is the way I see it, some think it's a B&M Wing coaster and some of us hope it's not. I don't really want it to be a wing coaster but I feel if it is one HW and B&M will find a way to make it intense, fun, and all around good ride. -

I just love this forum! The speculation on this forum is pretty great, sadly I haven't gotten to join in for quite a while Anyways, I'm definitely going to be streaming the announcement tomorrow. Honestly, There are so many different things that this ride can be that I am struggling so much to get a final guess, but while I'm typing this I'm going to try and make one. ummmm Im going to say there is a launch and that it launches into a 150-200ish sized hill, so possibly a launched hyper. I think it will hug the terrain throughout much of the ride after, with several inversions, possibly the most in the US, and then a splashdown at some point. Im going to say a wing coaster. Now to a name... I feel it could be The Tempest, The Storm, or Thunderbird. To me The Storm almost seems too short. I'm going to join the Thunderbird club I guess with HolidayWorldFTW and a few others. I'm am almost certain I'm wrong, so I guess we will find out tomorrow! -

Oh this suspense is killer. All the guessing and reguessing everyone has done on here is crazy. RavenMaven, you really have us enthusiasts head over heels for this new huge ride. This is the best pr I've ever seen with pretty much anything, so good job guys. I'm really proud to get to say that Holiday World is my home park, and in my opinion, the best park. I love you guys so much, and thank you for helping to shape my childhood and make it have lasting memories. -

^^ Yes they could add these, but how many things can you theme to love? Not much. So on another note, I designed a Holiday World for my town, and I used several holidays in it. I designed like 40+ coasters for it; sadly, I gave several of them to an art museum and never got them returned:( ^ That is actually a wonderful idea. I really like the drop ride idea. -

I too have thought this. I could see them adding a new Christmas section or Christmas Eve section back there. It could also open the possibility of a secong gate on highway 162. They own tons of land back there behind Splashin Safari and Thanksgiving, and the problem they have is of course those painful hills, and how the three sections are deadlocked. Removing Frightful Falls and Raging Rapids would be a great way to fix it. I mean I love these two rides, but they really show their age. Removing those and adding a second Christmas really adds a future to all the sections, not just Thanksgiving. Im sure they have a plan though, they always do. -

Yes, this is kind of where I was going with it. We all know there currently really isn't much room in the original holidays to really expand much there. This would be a vehicle for them do to so. Not sure a major launch coaster is something they would do, but it's a nice thought, and a good large area to add something nice. Again just kind of a "off from left field" theory I wanted to throw out there. Personally I'd love to see a bigger better version of a rapids ride there. I love Raging Rapids now, but when they launched it long ago they really made it out to be a big deal... And to me it never quite lived up to the hype they gave it. I love rapids rides in general and I've been on some that are way more exciting. Plus it's rare I ever really do get wet on the thing, but that could just be my luck too. It's also Very very rare that I ever see a line for it and I am almost always offered a reride. Might be a ride prime for HW to take a new look at. I will say that I too love this ride, but I've noticed the age it's started to show. I would like to point out that The Raging Rapids and Frightful Falls are both starting to show age. They both take up a lot of space as well. This has nothing to do with 2015, but a multi-year project. Removing these two rides opens up a lot of space for new rides in their sections. This leaves room for new rides and coasters to thrill for many years. But if they removed them you would want a replacement, right? That's why you build a new log flume ride and a new rapids ride. Them them to ships if they are in thanksgiving. They could design their layouts to allow ride space for other things. You could have a log flume themed and have a dark section with a drop, and you could theme the rapids to a boat ride through Indians and pilgrims fighting, ending in the feast? Idk if that's good theming or not. I do know I too am a Holiday World fanatic, heck, I've even designed roller coasters for their parks, so don't feel afraid to admit it. -

Very interesting theory. I will say I doubt that it is a rapids ride, but IF it was, and they did demolish the Raging Rapids ride, it would open up quite a bit of space in the 4th of July section. Then they could build a coaster there. If this happened, a major launch coaster would fit wonderful, themed to fireworks and things. Rockets Red Glare? -

Although you're putting a lot of stock into the 'clues', that's a pretty good analysis. I was thinking similarly that it was a hint to the ride layout. The ride you described( if it is clues) sounds pretty awesome and would definitely fit in well with the park. I cant wait to find out on June 24, and see if the two matchup. -

I highly, highly doubt that. Holiday world management has heard how bad Hades 360 is, and doesn't want to make any more stress on Voyages trains. Or make the coaster any worse, or rougher. It's a no from me. I'm happy with how the Voyage is. I love it. I've yet to get to ride Hades 360 but ive heard horror stories about it, but i thought it was rough even before the 360 was added in. I do feel Voyage is rough, but no where near as rough as The Legend. It probably would be way too much stress on the trains. -

So i know this is kind of random to the discussion of 2015, but could we possibly see a change to The Voyage like Hades 360? I dont know if it is possible, with how fast the Voyage is, but maybe in the helix some overbanked turns could happen. In Outlaw Run there is a 153 degree outside-banked turn. I dont know if they could, but maybe we could see some of these moments on the Voyage. The only thing I could see keeping it from happening is the speed and the PTC trains. -

Funny, I believe I got this shirt as well back in '06. I was too afraid to ride The Voyage back then so I rode The Legend all day. Sadly Mom threw mine out:(
