While we are on the topic, what days do you recommend buying the Flash Pass? I plan to go on a Tuesday July 7. I'm thinking my visit to MM would benefit from buying the Flash Pass and not having to stand out in the heat in long lines? What is the general opinion? Are the crowds busy during the beginning of the week in the middle of summer?

My highest score was ~ 268000, and I found some of those secret targets. Anyone else know what I'm talking about?

This is the first RMC Coaster on the West Coast, but here in Texas we have two. When I enter the train I buckle my seat belt and by that time the lap bars should be able to be brought down. I take the seat belt tail and lay it over the lap bar. This way the ride operator can push down on my lap bar with one hand and grab the tail of my seat belt with the other and make sure each is secure. It should only take 2 seconds to do that.

Did we ever get any information or confirmation on whether an emblem would placed on the lift hill?
-
After seeing the different colors of track on Twisted Colossus, I don't see why RMC couldn't make a different color track for this ride at a different park!
-
it looks like each side might offer a different experience each time you ride. It looks like some of the fins that help you spin are longer and shorter on some sides. I'd be interested to see which if any side is better and spins more.
It would have been cool I guess to paint the two rails in a different color and make one side Batman, the other a villain.

I also thought of putting a long fin on the lift hill: bam, the world first front/backflip lift in the world!
Maybe use these colors for another park and call it "The Joker."

I wonder if they could make Kong attraction with the same technology as Escape From Gringott's and Revenge of The Mummy. Make it part coaster and part 4D ride.

I believe you answered your own question. While one is loading/unloading, the other two are on the course. Theoretically, the time they take to load should roughly match the time on course. Also, the train approaching the green lift has a block brake where it will wait for the loading train to catch up if necessary - and knowing SFMM I'm guessing that will often be necessary. Reportedly the two chain drives are also variable speed and computer controlled so that they should always crest at the right time to match up...I've heard conflicting reports on that.I'm still stumped on how they will be able to make each train race eachother with only three trains. Running four trains makes more sense. With two trains racing on the tracks and one unloading in the station, how will they have enough time to sync it up?Okay so they are going to use the block brakes at the bottom of the lift hills. I wonder if it will be a complete stop or what. I'll be curious to see the variable speed on the lift motors too.
-
For anyone debating the existence of a fourth train, just don't. The park would not have constructed storage space for four trains if they only purchased three. The green train will likely show up at some point in the next couple weeks and they should have plenty of time to get the necessary test time with all four trains.

Than you! This is what I was going for earlier, but couldn't figure out how to make one.
-
So how about back to the pictures? Lol
Speaking of which, you got anymore of them construction update pictures of Twisted Colossus?
-
Rumors are going around that a muiltmillion dollar B&M Wing Rider is coming to SFOT in 2017? Apparently, the coaster would be placed directly behind Batman, and stretching into abandoned mini mall area.
-
Anyone know if Twisted Colossus will get an emblem on its lifthill like the one that IRat has or the one that Wicked Cyclone will be getting?
From what I heard they are going to be putting something up, but they have not confirmed what exactly.
-
Do you think Twisted or any other RMC Coaster would run their trains backwards? Kind of a nod toward Colossus running their trains backwards.
-
I have heard quite a few things about SFOT having gone downhill.
Unfortunately, its true. Recently, it seems, they don't like taking constructive criticism about it either.
-
So... "Justice League: Battle for Metropolis"
-
I heard they are replacing Colossus with the all new Iron Log Jammer, the world's tallest, fastest, and first ever looping log ride.
-
^Them's fightin' words my friend
Seriously - I doubt they would do anything with Shockwave. I know plenty of enthusiasts would lose their minds if such were to happen
No, I wasn't saying I wanted Shockwave to be torn out. I'm just speculating. I would either assume turning the trains around to go backwards. (Is that possible) or the go-carts are getting torn out.
-
^ So they are either tearing out Shockwave or the go-carts. Maybe to put a new coaster in? I hope so! I'm a little disappointed in getting just a dark ride.
-
^ yea and it's going to be in 3D!!!

Magic Mountain has been a park that likes to push the envelope. They like to break records and be the first on a lot of their coasters. I wouldn't be surprised if RMC tackled a project like Colossus. A racing style would be a first for them. So we'll see what happens.
I don't see them totally taking out an iconic structure like Colossus, unless they were planning to replace it with something as big.
-
Have there been any RMC clues around Colossus like Cyclone at SFNE? I know Colossus is still open, but I'm just curious if there are any trucks or construction equipment or signs with a hint of a RMC upgrade.

I've seen that the park's train now has a hold up at random times during the day!
