I'll have to look for that when I ride Kingda Ka this weekend. In the past, the OTSR's have tightened so much that all I can focus on is the pain in my thighs. The same problem many people have had on Skyrush. I didn't have that problem on Dragster, but Dragster also doesn't have that camel hump. I noticed that on KK the restraints tightened as much as they did on any other intamin with the same OTSR. It doesn't really bother me as, unlike skyrush, I only feel it when the ride is over. I usually have no problem with other Intamin OTSR's, including I-305, which are some of the best OTSR's, IMO. However, there was one ride in specific that through the camel hump, the restraints tightened so much that I had to clench my fists in pain and could not wait to get off. They dug into my legs and my thighs were red.'this obviously isn't the case for everyone, and usually isn't for me either.

Fixed. C'mon, it's Cedar Fair! Canada's Wonderland and now Carowinds as examples. But in all seriousness, it may be a possibility, but certainly not for 2016, IMO. -
So I guess that means still no word on opening? I heard there is a commercial shoot on the 25th, so my best guess would be media day the 26th and preview/opening the 27th/28th. Ryan, or anybody, have you heard if there will be a pass holder preview, or will it just open right up after media day? I'm not sure. I keep hearing rumors through coaster sites that it'll open June 26th but the park has yet to announce an opening day yet. We should all probably wait a little before we get our hopes too high. Hopefully it will open by then though. And check out this new testing video. jdc12192 over at GreatAdventureHistory.com just posted it. Funny, I'm a member on that site, I was just looking at the same video. It is odd that the far right (or left) gondola is delayed by so many feet by the base of the drop. It must a very slight delay in the release mechanism, unless the broken/bent screen creates enough wind resistancemto slow it down they much.

Cedar Fair will likely be spending $30+ million on Carowinds' Giga coaster project next year. I am doubtful we'll see any other new coasters in the chain, unless you count a dark ride as a coaster. I do think it is very likely that KD will get a coaster in 2016 though. In 2015 I'd look for a waterpark upgrade in all likelihood. I could see that dark ride going to CP in 2015. -
I believe it is true. I heard the same on Greatadventurehistory.com This is a pretty classy move on Six Flags' part. They didn't need to do anything for RT, but it sure is the right thing to do in a park becoming overrun in a sense by the modern amusment park era- out with the old, in with the new, and very little time/money to remember the past.

Ok... What's your birthday? CPSFMMCW I believe you- that kinda sucks. I'm going to ask this guy a question only you would know. Disclaimer: I'm not trying to be creepy no worries. Just putting on the investigator hat for a moment. -

It looks like somebody might be having an identity crisis I actually think they are the same guy. Look at their signatures. Yes it is the same person. I also think behemoth was being sarcastic- pretty sure he knows that. Also not entirely sure why this kid has two active accounts posting back to back in the same thread. Whatever, I've seen stranger. -

So you're implying that you do know everything about Kings Island? I have my doubts -
I'm fine with Six Flags aiming to open new attractions after opening day- generally Memorial a day. I get that. It's a business decision. However, they built in VERY little time for delays, which need to be accounted for. They planned to open Zumanjaro by the end of May. What they need to do is build in some time for delays throughout the winter. Kings Island/Cedar Fair planned to open Banshee in April, but started the project early enought to allow for the equally atrocious winter. On that note, a Zumanjaro commercial shoot is scheduled for June 25th. They've been testing this drop tower for over a month

a question, and maybe a tip for those who have passes. one of the perks i see at http://sixflags.com/pass is buy one reg or gold flash pass get one free. when i log in, it specifically says no platinum. magic mountain is also referenced. what i'm interested in is, if anybody has bought a flash pass and been able to get the BOGO deal at another six flags that isn't the park they bought the pass at? To answer this, I don't think you can use that deal at other SF parks, unfortunately. I wish you could, I would certainly use my SFA deal at Gadv if I could. If anyone knows otherwise, please chime in.

Is there some sort of life span for LIM's? As FoF is one of the first coasters to use LIM's, I'm wondering if we are now finding out about how long these can last. (Unless, of course, they've been replaced in the past, in which case I stand corrected.) -
Probably not 3 hours, but the line will still be long for sure. I think it's hourly capacity is around 700 or 800 which isn't too bad. Which rides do you think Mae sense to go to first on a Saturday or Sunday morning? Should I go for Ka and Zumanjaor, or get two rides on El Toro, then head over to Ka with hopefully little wait still before 11?
-
I have been to the park on a couple extremely crowded days over that's couple years, but most times lines don't exceeded 30 minutes for the major coasters. For anyone who knows, approximately how long are the waits for Nitro and El Toro with completely full queues? I've seen these one time each, and I never got myself to wait in a line that long. I didn't see what the closest wait time marker said, but I believe those are estimated for one train operation.

mantis is 100 times better then green lantern. green lantern will beat the crap out of you with all the head banging. I've noticed you bash Great Adventure quite a bit lately. I think Most people would say Green Lantern is slightly smoother and more enjoyable than Mantis, especially as GL doesn't suffer from trims on the first drop. As for myself, neither are horrible coasters, but I think GL is a little better. They're not the best coasters out there, especially given the parks they're in, but both are better than the stand up at my home park- Apocalypse/Iron Wolf. -

Why? Do you hate cobra rolls because some of the cobra rolls you've ridden are rough/not enjoyable, or do you sincerely dislike the element itself because of the motion of the element? Both. I was fine with the one on Bizarro at SFGAdv, but on all of the others, I found it to be jerky. It's a cool looking element, but is much rather prefer a dive loop and an Immelmann. Not both put together in a tight space. I prefer more drawn out inversions as opposed to sudden and quick inversions. Just my opinion though! Fair enough. I prefer zero g's and corkscrews, so I don't mind them as they're sort of half loops separated by half corkscrews. -
