  1. And here I thought the pregnant lady walk thru and the Dog Fart kiddie coaster were the most out-there theme park experiences I'd heard of... and then I see this. Maybe its my claustrophobia talking but
  2. Huh? Maybe I'm completely off here, but I thought the speculation was an S&S Free Spin (not Freefly), like Fiesta Texas is getting.
  3. ^ Anything is possible, so yes. And agreed, consider me in the camp that would prefer not to get a freespin. They look cool and all but as far as personal preferences I'd MUCH rather see an RMC or even a Premier launcher. But really at the end of the day any new coaster will draw crowds from El Toro so I don't really care what it is.
  4. Well consider 2 things: 1. the coasters/rides they announced *should* be open for HITP (Batman, Nitro, DarkKnight, Skull Mountain, Sky Screamer, Giant Wheel, etc). It would be make sense for them to put the HITP attractions in the Old Country area since its an area ripe for redevelopment and right in the middle of what "should" be open for that event. Also didn't I see something about how Chiller's station/queue would NOT be used for Fright Fest this year as it has in years past? And 2. that post that surfaced here a while back about how the lakefront would look completely different in the future - and if I recall correctly - would offer great photo opportunities? Or something to that effect? I might be totally wrong, but I think - coaster (S&S Freespin) on the lakefront, HITP in Old Country.
  5. ^ I think the reason everyone is so sure of it is that they would never start working this early on anything else. Also co-sign on the S&S free spin. I'm basically convinced that's what we're getting at this point. Right in front of the lake. A few more photos of markings all along the lakefront that were posted on the Six Flags Great Adventure Connoisseurs page, taken over the weekend:
  6. ^ Clearing the entire lakefront to put a building there for Justice League would be the dumbest thing ever, so it's a possibility.
  7. ^ You realize the chances of it being super hero themed, right?
  8. ^ I sadly still have not been on our parks extremely underrated awesome junior coaster this year, but I read somewhere (Great Adventure History maybe?) that all of the effects are working this year and they've sealed up any and all cracks that were allowing daylight in. I need to just go straight to the back seat of this ride the next time I'm at the park.
  9. I rode Kamikaze a few times when it was on Hunts Pier. That was 25 years ago! (I'm old!) I always remember it as being a good ride, but I could certainly tolerate a lot more back when I was 13 lol. I've long defended Nor'easter as being a decent ride, especially with the newer vest restraints. Huge upgrade. But I have to say on my few rides in 2014, the trains had such an insane rattle I legitimately feared for my safety and I'm very leery of going back on.
  10. ^ Its a great idea but I doubt it. I just don't see Morey's going with them. For some reason I'd rather see Great White get RMC'd over a brand new custom RMC (and I say this as a HUGE fan of the Great White but could you imagine!?). My pipe dream is for them to rip out the Nor'easter since there is practically zero chance of the Sea Serpent coming out simply because it and the Giant Wheel are the "iconic" Morey's structures, and put in a mega-lite or a Eurofighter. Fat chance on either tho because of how the Nor'easter is basically built in and around the water park. Bottom line they need something new as far as coasters go. Next year it will be 20 years since the Great White went in.
  11. ^ Personally I think the portal/themeing to Bizarro is one of the best in the park, seems folks forget that it exists for some reason. Ive been hearing about it being down A LOT so far this year. Glad we got a few rides in during CAD. Now you do.
  12. It might be the 6 pack I just finished, but this might be one of the funniest things Ive ever read on TPR.
  13. Gotta say it's looking pretty great, and will probably look fantastic at night.
  14. Yeah so sorry that I'm the ONLY one posting in this thread but they posted this cool video about the new KONG flyers on their Youtube channel. Also this screenshot I just took off Morey's FB page is definitely worth sharing. To everyone that has given up all hope of Morey's getting a new coaster... there is hope!
  15. This sounds like a whole bunch of YAY.
  16. I guess it has to do with Mean Streak and everyone hating on it so much, and the fact that it even looks boring on video but Blue Streak just looks awesome to me, I don't know why. Just a good classic layout. I'll avoid the wheel seats. I'm definitely gonna try as much as I can. If Power Tower is anything like Dominator @ Dorney, I'm sure I'll love it. I freaking love Dominator.
  17. If you're looking for airtime, don't even think about sitting in the back. Front car ride all the way.
  18. Agreed! ^ *waits for someone to comment how SF spent more money on the sign than the ride*
  19. I'm personally trying to ride as much as I can. Imma get all whorish while we are there! Corkscrew, Mean Streak, Gemini - I'll try em all. Will they give me crap on Woodstock Express? I'm 6'2. LOL I won't have a kid to borrow to get on Wilderness Run lmao. Magnum, Blue Streak and Iron Dragon are must rides for me too - not top tier (like Maverick, Gatekeeper, MForce, Raptor) but they look great/interesting in their own ways imo. Rougarou I want to ride because its "new" and no longer a stand up, and I like the floorless @ my home park quite a bit. Dragster as I said for comparison. I'm just excited to have so many options for riding - quite a few flats I want to try - MaxAir (never rode one of these but planning on doing the one @ Kennywood too), Power Tower (love Dominator at Dorney if this is anything like it), Skyhawk (my fave flat in Wildwood), and I might make this trip my first ever attempt at a slingshot(!!!). I'm also really excited about the new restraints on Maverick, looks like an insanely twisty ride so they should make it more comfortable. Something tells me I'm gonna love this ride and I really just want FL+ so I can ride this and Millenium as much as I want.
  20. Yeah I mean, we'll be there Memorial Day wknd. It the weather happens to be nice I'm expecting it to be rammed. If its not, good, but this way I won't set myself up for disappointment. We won't be buying it until we are at the park, no sense in doing it early if it is true that it won't sell out.
  21. Personally, I've thought about it a lot while planning this and I really can't imagine going out to this park and not getting FL+. I have no clue when I'll be back here and with all of the quality rides I just want to make the most of our time. I know with the group I'm going with there will be time spent doing other things (beach, drinking, etc) so when I'm riding I'm not trying to wait.
  22. Great list, very well rounded collection of coasters.
  23. ^^ Really though. Five B&Ms a bit much!? I'm happy that we have the 5 we have. They are all high quality coasters (shhhh Green Lantern is one of the more well-themed in the park, it is an interesting layout and overall a very beautiful door knocker/welcome sign for the park) and they all offer a completely different experience. I'd be thrilled if we got a winged B&M, launched or not. BUT we do need some diversity. It's tough because we have a killer line-up and we're spoiled from it. I mean, we're discussing whether we want a SIXTH B&M!!! On top of Toro and Ka. Most enthusiasts would kill for our line-up. Spoiled rotten.
