  1. "Dear God, give us 2pac back and we'll give you Justin Bieber" (Jimmy Kimmel) haha.
  2. I want to see this movie so bad. I haven't been anticipated about a movie this much in a while!
  3. Honestly, I'm surprised Phoenix or Houston do not have a theme parks. I figured someone would have already jumped on that gun after Six Flags AstroWorld closed. I also think Charleston (SC) and Jacksonville (FL) would be good locations for a park. Both locations are in warmer regions of the country, which could mean a longer operation season. If not, almost all year round. Jacksonville is far enough from Orlando where it wouldn't be as cutthroat with the destination parks. People have been mentioning Hawaii or Honolulu. That would actually be a real cool concept, but could be kind of a risky investment. Other ideas: Seattle (surprised Wild Waves isn't bigger) and Las Vegas
  4. Kraken at Sea World Florida. Still can't decide if I like Manta or Kraken better.
  5. Superman: Tower of Power (Six Flags over Texas) Close Second: Acrophobia (Six Flags over Georgia) - Tilt = Intense Geronimo Drop (Ghost Town in the Sky) - Awesome view
  6. Shockwave (Six Flags Great America) - When I was younger it was always cool how that coaster dominated the front landscape of Great America. Deja Vu (Six Flags over Georgia) - Awesome ride, glad there's at least two of those left in America. Wouldn't say its completely defunct yet, but it's been sitting in Brazilian storage since 2009 so that's good enough for me. Jaws (Universal Orlando) - Not a coaster, but still really shocked they scrapped this for another Harry Potter development. This was, hands down, my favorite ride at Universal until Revenge of the Mummy arrived. It was such a classic and always delivered a unique ride experience. My saddest loss in the amusement industry.
  7. It's such a shame. It really is. I went to the park back in 2007 (I believe) when it was "resurrected" for the first time. It was a real nice and unique experience. This was still before they finally had Cliffhanger running for a limited period haha. The concept of rides on a mountain summit is a brilliant idea. However, the whole idea of the new "Holy Land" phase incorporated into the theme park industry is kind of weird. Not saying that it is a bad concept, it just doesn't seem that it can be very profitable or attract a steady crowd to carry an already struggling amusement attraction. In addition, the rumor about the new giant "Christ the Redeemer"-esque statue at the top of the mountain is where the concept gets a little more bizzare. Can anyone confirm that this rumor is still true? I hope the best for the park, but wouldn't it be awesome if a large corp bought the park and built steel monsters on that mountain summit? I could see the world's best B&M Flyer now haha.
  8. Hey, name's Matt. I'm a junior at the University of Oklahoma majoring in Film & Media. Gonna be the next Spielberg haha. Just joined and enjoy lookin around the site so far. Favorite coaster is either X2 or TTD. Hit me up if any of you wanna talk. A.E.K.Δ.B
