  1. Hey everyone

Just booked a trip for my son and I to visit the park for 2 days the second week of June. We'll be here on a Thursday and Friday.

One of those days we want to spend primarily at the water park. Do you think Friday or Thursday would be better for that?

Also, how should we attack the park to maximize what we can get on? We plan on being at the park at opening both days.

    Thanks for the help!

Okay so first let me answer your question about which day you should do the water park:

It depends on the crowd honestly. I would like to assume that the park may be less crowded Thursday, in that case, do the waterpark on Friday if you want to get on more dry rides than waterpark rides.

And I would say that the best way to work the park is to go from the back (Fiesta Bay Boardwalk section) to the front and ride Goliath last. But if you go from the Boardwalk to the front, there is a split off section where the paths branch and lead to different places, the way you go just depends apon what you want to ride first. But I would recommend you ride Batman: The Ride while on your way to the back of the park to begin, Because usually when the park first opens, you can get multiple rides in if you like.

    I hope this helps!

  2. ^Yeah but, this is Six Flags we're talking about here! It will be the worlds first Giga-Mine-Train-Coaster to run BACKWARDS WITH VIRTUAL REALITY!!!

But in all seriousness, I am so confused this time... Hey doesn't Six Flags create the new ride webpages a about a day early and you can kinda find the new ride names by finding the URL to the new ride page for each park?

  3. I did some youtube comment section research on video's trying to predict new rides, and yeah, I know the youtube comments section is the toilet of the internet, but try to bear with me...

Someone in the comments said that she was a ride op who has some sort of connection (how strong of one, I have no idea) with the marketing team, and she said we were supposed to get a water park ride this year, I believe she said something about a water coaster.

But something is off, if it was a waterpark addition, why would Jeffery post pics of survey markers on the quarry walls? Maybe those markers have something to do with a 25th anniversary nighttime show, and that post about the 4 rides with names relating to water could be a hint at the fact that this new ride has some major feature that deals with water...

  4. Hey everyone, I was wondering if there was any locals here who can tell me how the crowds are around Christmas? Thanks!

Usually during Holiday in the Park, the park is not that crowded. It does depend though. Sometimes it can have a decent crowd, and sometimes it can be a ghost-town. You should be able to go anytime during Holiday in the Park and get on what you want to ride.

    Hope this helps.

  5. From Screamscape:

The rumor mill and teasers are dropping fast from Six Flags Fiesta Texas. First I've been sent a "Top Secret / Confidential" graphic that lists a September 3rd date, which I can only assume is for the announcement. Meanwhile I've also been sent a message from Thurman Brothers Coaster Redevelopment to let us know that they've ordered a wrecking ball, because "a major attraction will meet its demise November 1st, 2015."

Now... this next part is purely speculation on my part, but I'm thinking that the soon to depart attraction may be linked to the story I was told about how an existing park attraction would be getting a significant upgrade over the winter. Now stay with me here... but my thoughts are drawn to the park's Scooby Doo dark ride.

The only other Six Flags parks to have a Scooby Doo dark ride was St Louis, who scrapped their Scooby ride last year to build their new Justice League ride. My thought is that Six Flags may not want to keep paying whatever they are paying to keep the rights to use the Scooby Doo IP in just this one park, and could opt to have the dark ride upgraded and transformed into something new for 2016. We saw a similar removal of the Scooby Doo theming to the dark rides at the Cedar Fair parks a couple of years ago which kept the rides pretty much the same as before they removed the Scooby Doo gang figures.

I'm not sure if there is room for Justice League in the same footprint here, or if they can expand the building, but they could simply opt to make a custom haunted house experience instead. Just something to think about.

  6. clue again what could it be, a boardwalk expansion or A Retheme of a ride??? Man Fiesta Texas is the best marketing team..

the recording at the number says they will be offering "HUGE UPGRADES" with "GORGEOUS PANORAMIC VIEWS FROM ALL ANGLES"

hmmm. . . it's not a drop tower, or a skyscreamer. . . but it's got to be something tall.

whatever it is, I'm hoping it's in addition to the Larson Loop

    P

Huh, I don't see a Larson Loop anymore... (gasp) Huss's new version of the enterprise perhaps?

  7. Forgive me guys, but the only thing that I can see coming to the park next year is a Larson Loop (Where S.S. Overboard was). I mean, Logically a YOLO Coaster, at SFFT just doesn't work, All we would be doing is making a step up from Superman: KC's 145ft Loop. SFFT would have a big family coaster deficit without Pandemonium. I have a feeling, That if anything is to go, it's Scooby Doo, For a Justice League Dark Ride; Or, S.S. Overboard for a Larson Loop. But, this is all just personal preference.
